I was one of a group of Canadian teachers that helped set up a summer school at St. Theresa's Technical School for Gambian high school students. We have a family downthere that we help...paying for the kids school an stuff like that, and then, we visit them whenever we can. A friend posted me the link to your site, and it sure is promising. Keep it on like this! I visited The Gambia as a tourist on February, though I stayed at Mariatou (Bakau, seaside) I spent most of my time in Manjai (Kunda). Next week I will visit for the second time. Recently I downloaded some Wollof and Mandinka dictionaries and grammars from the Peace Corps' Website. The printout of the PDF files is good quality but the text contains some mistakes, somebody who knows any better? Also searching in the PDF file is quite difficult, e.g, if you search for "deedet" there is no match but if you highlight the exact same phrase in the text and copy it to the clipboard you find some occurrences. Guess they use some non-ISO character set!?
