Observation:

Vast majority of Senegalese can't believe it was a scorpion sting and not just tiny ant bite. The old age temper of Senegal under-estimation of Gambia bubbles even most fiercely.

It has been a real show of style and talent by the able Gambian Scorpions.

The Senegalese fans' violence and rioting was all along in the making. It was a powder keg waiting to explode due to a combination of worsening economic and domestic problems. It needed a not so significant thing like the Lions' exit from CAN and World Cup qualifiers to activate the trigger. The Wade government had been taking the Senegalese people for granted for far too long.

Jammeh declares tomorrow a public holiday in appreciation of the Scorpion's achievement. Interesting.

It is far too absurd Jammeh declaring public holiday for mere football victory. It is counter-productive and does not have to be encouraged.

Damn it's not looking good folks. Uganda has just beaten Benin and Angola is losing 0-1 to Niger. We need Angola to beat Niger to Qualify.

We are better off than Cape Verde, Mozambique, South Africa and Angola from a group of twelve runners up. That means we qualify with minimum eight position. The rules say eight best runners up qualify. If anybody tries to take this away from us it is going to be world war three.

The news the bbc has is a bit different theyare saying mozambique has now qualified. the remining place now goes to either Gambia or Guniea. That means Guinea has to lose or draw for Gambia to go thru

But Guinea are 3.0

The world would be a poorer place if it was peopled by children whose parents risked nothing in the cause of social justice, for fear of personal loss. (Joe Slovo - African revolutionary)
