MADIBA, What dialect does the TJUBALA(in Wollof LEBU)speak. The LEBU among the Wollof sapeak Wollof. The TJUBALA are very good fishermen. In Fulladu, they are known to be masters of the waters. Once when I was at Armitage , our school boat sank. We tried all we could but never succeded to find it. As we appealed to the TJUBALAS in George Town, it took them just some minutes to lokalise it and withn the hour the boat was ours again. They can dive deep waters without diving equipment. |

Koto Alhassan, they are called JUBALLO (sing) SUBAL-BEH(plural) are predominantly fishermen, but some are weavers, they are closer to another sub-clan called MA-BOBEH they collectively they belong to artisisan community of the FUUTANKES from FUUTA TORO. Amongst them you have surnames like Jagne, Gadio, Sarreh, Sarr etc They like all FUUTANKES speak Fuutankoore kudos to Konds for the right spellings.
The present Senegalese Foreign Minister Cheihk Tijan Gadio is a typical JUBALLO. |

Did you get that innocent womens permission to put her picture on here?!
Joking apart perhaps admin need to make a policy about what we are allowed to post on here photos wise, and what permissions we have to have? Then we are all covered.
If people want to show pictures of their own families and children to each other, perhaps private email is best? Then it is not in the public domain on the site? |

Sweetheart Bev;
You lost your moment when you removed those beautiful pics of yours.. Are you jealous now that my eyes are on this beautiful fula lady....hahahahaaaaaaaaaa!
As far as I am concerned, don't worry yourself much. You posted those pics of yours here to share in good faith. It's fine to share pics in forums and newspapers. Pics speak a lot alongside writing. We are still waiting for the explanation of the different pics.
Kondorong:
'ghaadadah doghata knoh nan-gat' 'kaghaadoh lehlih chomchii makkoh, sikk kuhde'
Baba Maal wih, "Diyaam wawih jaigol, gheteh noh gari-serer"
Pullo dimo dogata maideh, doghat ghat cheh...
'Wotah sippir/wrestle heh wuchuuduh bonduuu'
ah jaramah
Happy friday!

I am making any commercial gain on this. I was just trying to show one aspect of the fulani cullture. I apologise if any one is offended. gambiabev, are the husband? |

Bev,
That's ok. Take your time on posting about your journey as time permits you. Sharing things here or anywhere is strictly voluntary and at will.I believe everyone here is equally busy. You can tell by the slow keyboards and short threads. We all interact here only at our leisure time.
That pic is likely taken from an other online site. Help me Kons-if true! The pic tells a lot than any one can write about it. I am sure in your travels to the Gambia, you encountered these Fulani men and women, boys and girls. Our truly like the many others is a rich culture.

I saw your blog.
May be i should indicated my source for the picture. Its not mine. I just chanced on it on the internet. I should be honest enough to name my source which i will do soon or remove the picture. I believe in intellectual property.
Sorry my mistake. |
