Turo = Original or prototype
Bang = Finish
Turubang when used with regards to war is equal to genocide (finishing a clan or family).

A clear conscience fears no accusation - proverb from Sierra Leone

tamsier, just to add to what uncle momodou have said. turubang in the current war terms can more closely mean clensing. the term was use in inter-tribal wars .ethicnic cleansing.

Add to it the historical albeit oral connection of the final stand or battle between Maama Jankeh Waaly of Kaabu Kansala and the Fula warriors who over ran his kingdom. Narrators have us to believe that on the ascension to the throne he had a declaration for all of his kingdom to hear, which in effect was that he was going to be the last king of that state. That the last battle when it became imminent he also declared that that was the final battle where the seed will be eliminated a colloquial expression of a battle of attrition . so bitter . It is reported that the Taatah or castle was set ablaze whilst it was still fully occupied by both invading fula warriors and Manden Kabu fighters. the result was a great loss of life which became known as Turubang war ,yes the war that obliterated many lives and a cruel extinction of useful seeds to wit human life.Reported oral history had it that the huge armories were set ablaze which triggered might explosions and the resultant loss of life.

No not yet but with time perhaps i will do that.I enjoy reading about world history and with that interest in full bloom i saw a huge reservoir of materials for my use.But it takes more than mere courage to write a book I think I need coaching don't you think so?

thank you all guys. kaaniba, i dont think you 'personally' need any courage in writing a history book. you seem quite knowledgable, and i would encourage you to do it. the more the next generation of historians the better.

Yes write the book,I don't know how to write a book, but I have found it useful to write down on paper,an excercise book rather than seperate sheets which tend to get mislaid, things as they come to mind,in that way you can always jog yor memory when it comes to putting things together in a structured way such as writing a book.How often have you thought, now what did he say about that? Even if you dont write your book the information in your notes will form a very useful document for the future.
