My condolences go out to my fiancee's family the Njie family of Bansang who lost their beloved father Baba Samba Njie the eldest elder of the Town. He was a popular figure head whose honesty went before him. A businessman until he went blind. His blindness never held him back from whatever he put his mind to do. He was a good Muslim, husband to his wife Mariama and father to their 4 children. He passed away on 31 July 2007 and was laid to rest 2pm 1/8/07. May his soul receive Jannah. Family and friends have come from all over Gambia, Senegal, Guinea, Tanzania, and UK to pay respects and are still coming to Bansang on mass over this weekend.
Baba Samba Njie your family and friends will miss you more than words can express though we know you will always be with us in our hearts.
May you rest in perfect peace.
Peace

Condolence Madam Ba for the deceased. Rest in peace!
How are you related ? Any time you do such, you expose your Gambianship more. I concluded, you might not be a jamaican, as you made people believe here.

Jarama Dalton. The deceased is my finance's father and he will be sincerely missed.
Funnily enough when I was teaching yesterday some of my students who are Somali, told me. I look Ethiopian and by the end of the session. They told me I must be Somali and not Jamaican.
Dalton my other half refers to me as a Gambian anyway, even in Gambia I'm often taken for a Fula. One of my previous Student's name was Mbidi. He was Somali his name is the same as Mbidi in Futa Toro Senegal. This just confirmed to me that there are Fula's in Somalia. So there must also be Fula's in Jamaica, as well right?
Peace

I also lost my grandmother yesterday, Yassin Mbye of Bansang. She was one of the early settlers of bansang and raised most of her gandchildren including myself. Funeral services took place today in Banjul where she was staying during the last few years. This is extention to the Mbye family, ceesays, lowes, njies, jobes, jahumpas, jallows, etc, etc. MAY HER SOUL REST IN PERFECT PEACE AND MAY ALLAH GRANT HER JANNAH |

Ylowe my condolences to you and your family at this time from myself and my fiancee.
My fiancee confirms that he knew your Grandmother as well, and is trying to guess who you are.
May your beloved Grandmother receive Jannah.
This is a sad time for many of us!
