Ylowe, you don't need a tv to watch the match. You can watch it on the internet. Just simply google fifa.com tv and click on WATCH NOW. Then select gambia v mexico. I am utter rubbish with cumputers, otherwise i could have made it easier by providing the link. Maybe Momodou or some one else can help. An even easier option is to google fifa.com. The home page displays CANADA 2007, right beneath this caption is fifa.com tv sandwiched between NEWS and MATCHES. |

You got about half an hour before kickoff. Watch it on full screen, the quality is pretty good. |

Good first half for the baby scorpions. I think they were absolutely brilliant. If only they have take their numerous chances, five shots on target to mexico's one. Am really proud. C'mon baby scorpions!!! Finish them off!!! |

Shame!! After doing ever so well in the first half the boys have succumbed to some sheer mexican brilliance. As is always the case with African teams, poor concentration have yet again been our undoing. The boys really deserved to come off the match with atleast a point. I must admit that Ken Jammeh, Alagie Jagne, Tijan Jaiteh and Ebrima Sohna really caught my eyes. Ken was my man of match. He led the team really well from the back. A bit dissapointed in Joe Gomez, he played like had no life in him. He never organised his defence like good goal keeper should do. He simply lacked passion for a goalie. Sainey Nyassy was a bit flambouyant nad lost quite few possession when he could have played it simple. With that said i think the boys could still qualify. Their next opponent New Zealand are there for the taking. They look very poor agaianst a very technically gifted Portuguese side, but very individualistic. I don't think Portugal play very well as a unit, something the boys could exploit with better concentration. Goodluck Baby Scorpions!! |

I did not know the match was today. We just got a copy of the Observer in Yorobawol which is a week old saying that there is to be a match today.
Go scorpions go. I think sports is a unifying factor in our society. It was however embarassing that non of our supporters could get visas to cheer them up. I think we should protest this and make our concerns known. |

Kondorong, We should be very thankful to Bantaba for providing us with info. I blame the administrators for visa issue. There should have been a criteria for selecting the fans knowing well that the canadian will require criteria for issuing visas. Selecting fans will jobs and the financial means was going to make a difference but they chose to select the ones that wore the aprc t-shirt the most. laugh |

Generally the boys played good, but the defense was poor. They also had a problem with retreating when the mexican have a contra balland some of their passings could have been a little more precise than they were. I too go with Ken Jammeh as the man og the match, he played reallt good. Jeo Gomez a bit careless when he came running towards the mexican guy and he passed through and scored the third gaol. The match was one of the most intense and exciting ones I have seen in a while, it was well played. The baby scorpions did well, bravo for them.
Does anybody know when they will be playing their next match????? |

Their next game will be against New Zealand on Thursday 5th JULY.
I think the boys did very well considering the might of the Mexicans in the game. They will need to re-organise the defense and the keeper too was to blame for the last goal in my opinion.
I wish them luck on their next game. |
