Another brilliant first half by the the baby scorpions . They totally dominatinated possession with some tidy and fluent passing. They were never shy to pop a shot when the opportunity arise but yet again failed to convert them to goals except for a powerful header from Ous Jallow. Eight shot on target to New Zealand's one yet still managed only one goal is a cause for concern.

A good and solid display by the baby scorpions. This time around romping home with all the three point. Special commendations to coach Bonu Johnson for the useful tactical switch that saw Pa Landing Conateh start the game the place of Abdoulie Mansally. A much more offensive midfielder, conateh made some brilliant runs with the ball into the opposition, causing serious trouble to the opposition defence. Often swapping the flanks with Sainey Nyassy(my man of the match) he link up well with the strikers and provided some useful assists. Sainey Nyassi was just as awesome today. With the ball seemingly glued to his feet he terrorised the Kiwi defense all night and had a fair crack of decent shots. Pa Modou Jagne had a good run on the night albeit some poor finishing. For a big and stocky fella he possess a weak shot and wasted a host of chances. That said, he gave the opposition defence a headache with some superb darting runs from flanks as well as across the middle of the field and supplied some useful assists. He could have capped a glorious night with a goal to his name. The biggest plus of tonight's was how well the boys kept possession hardly made a wrong pass, except for Ous Jallow in the second half, who squandered a few possession by cheaply giving the ball to the opposition before being replaced. Except for his superb goal he had an anotherwise quiet night. The boys defended very well as a unit and on numerous occasions robbed the Kiwi of vital possesion. However their fitness was called to question in the last twenty minutes and they began to loose concentration. Maybe their moves to boycott playing for their respective teams in the Gambia inorder to avoid injury and miss the boat to Canada was not a smart move after all. They struggled in the last few minutes and nearly paid the price for it.

I´m rally glad that the baby scorpions won last night. Now lets all pray that they win aginst Portugal so they can move on. I know that it´s gonna be a tough match cause Portugal has a strong team, so lets pray fot the boys
