Gambian Patriot,
I will advice you to advertise it with all the Gambian sites. However, my take on Kondorong is that he either underestimated the power and value of Bantaba, or he is blaming you for advertising it in this forum. This bantaba, like the G-post and G-L are the pioneer places that sprouted to all the other seedlings.

I am happy for him to showcase his site here. I will not blame him for doing that. Afterall Bantaba in keeping with its name has no thoroughfare. Thats why a bantaba is not fenced.
I am just so suprised that Bantaba was chosen among many blogs. Honestly, i had always thought that Bantaba was like an "ATTAYA VOUS"

I think Gambianpatriot needs to respect Pa-Nderry's absolute right to free speech. He also needs to understand that no matter how speculative his (Pa-Nderry) writings are , as long as he directs them to public figures he should not be sued for libel or defamation. Public figures (should) have no right to privacy. Their every act , including what they do in their bedroom ,is our (public)business. Funny but true!
Just think about all the gossip magazines in the U.S. for example and how they can lampoon and vilify any pubic figure without fear of libel or defamation. The burden of proof for libel or defamation by a public figure is so high (it is the proof of actual malice) that it is not worth suing for. |

My/our truth, Your/their truth, or the real truth!
This is real education and I belief only those with eyes can see and those with ears can hear and those with mind can think.
My friend Con, you are a master.Please one day we may need you in the Gambia to teach our kids.
For I learnt that now a days in the Gambia, Our kids are forced to observe so much public holidays (the likes of Operation "klen" d nation(though that happens on saturdays, but think of the Ahmadiya schools who go to school on such days?), Operation "mony" is better than learning, Operation patriotic march, operation solidarity march,operation thanking the Head of State, Operation welcomming the president ect ect.) that they barely learn any thing through our the year.This is real evident as you can now see a "grade twelve student" not knowing barely anything at all.Maybe Operation picnic everytime for all would come soon.
God forbid!
