That seemed to be the problem Jambo. It wasn't very well publicised.

Yes the flies, mozzies etc are at their worst in Gambia at this time of the year as is the humidity, but there are compensations. I am sure if you had to live with it every year for the whole season the appeal would pall but for just the fortnight I was there this time last year I quite loved it.

Well done Jambo - my daughter has breast cancer. She had her breast removed on Tuesday. She has four young boys & no partner. I will be looking after them for the next few months. That is the reason why I have been missing the past week & will not be posting on a regular basis in the future.
Have a successful weekend, regards, sab.

Sab, Im sorry to hear about your sister having breast cancer. I don't know where she is located, but in some places there is alot of support and services for women who are survivors of breast cancer.
I hope that is the case for her.
I will keep her in my prayers for a speedy recovery and good health. Mahalo Ke Akua. Newfy

Sab, my thoughts are with your daughter, I'm now 2yrs clear of breast cancer, and can understand what you have ahead to go through. Its a day by day process, but with your support I'm sure you will all be fine, my prayers are with you all.

Sab, my prayers to your daughter for a quick recovery. I know a person who had one of her breasts removed in 1978 and she is still alive. May your daughter be among those lucky ones.

Whats everyone doing this weekend?
Mine is VERY boring. Catching up with sleep! Cleaning! Washing and ironing! And then a pile of paper work for school!

I AM going to York to do some shopping on Saturday morning. It is a beautiful city and its great that it is my local city. That is my one bit of fun and time out!
