just read the article, love the logo, i am sure they will make it a great world cup. but the president could change, is south africa due to elections soon. |

well thats your stereotype of African leaders, and i can't defend them. but come 2009, he will step down and continue his work as an elder statesman. Mbeki is beyond that. he understands both the mind game and the historical one.
these are his words
"By the end of 2009, I will have been in a senior position in government for 15 years. I think that's too long," Mr Mbeki said.
"I think that after 15 years, I should step aside in any case."

President Mbeki recently made reference to the changing of constitutions to allow those to stay in office as “Power is like sea water, the more we drink of it, the thirstier we become” but stated that he would not be attempting to stay in office.......
