Gambia risk going through an Ivory Coast like crisis if we continue to ignore genuinely and comprehensively addressing the issue of citizenship. Judging by rhetoric nonsense peddled against Jammeh, Yankuba Touray, and now Dr. Tangara, a generation of Gambians risk disenfranchisement by xenophobic thugs lurking around the gullible and feeble minded.
It is nasty to see the freedom newspaper running an article labellings minister Tangara "a foreigner."...Even if Dr. Tangara wasn't born here, how could someone who lived in a country since age three be labeled a "foreigner?" http://freedomnewspaper.com/Homepage/tabid/36/mid/367/newsid367/5467/Breaking-News-Gambia-DR-TANGARA-IS-NOT-A-GAMBIAN/Default.aspx
Reading that HATE MAIL on freedom made me throw up a lil in my mouth.

You should be used to this hate-monger and cyber-terrorist(to borrow from Moe) spewing the usual. Did he not told us all that he had a license to destroy anyone he so choose to through his "newspaper." It is funny how some folks gave him the thumbs up when he put Amadou Samba and Fisco through some awkward and unnecessary scrutiny with lies he can never substantiate and then blame it on information black-out on the part of the Gambia government, when threatened with a libel suit. When did Amadou Samba and Fisco became the Gambia government? Oh, how i wished the libel suit was more than a threat. Then this clueless ***** will have to spend the rest of his pathetic life servicing a hefty court fine for slander. It is just a matter of time though because he is incapable of learning a lesson. It will only have have to take a libel action for the monkey to know what surface not to scratch his dirty arse on. Interesting how Amadou Samba suddenly became "a man we admired for his entrepreneurship, honesty, and uprightness" Hilarious!! You unfortunately can do no wrong with the Gambia diaspora "opposition" as long as you keep hitting the common perceived enemy hard. Yet still they'd be the first to claim to be democratic, ethical and morally fair when it comes to the national debate. You wonder how we got to be where we are today. License to destroy indeed!!! |

He is lucky he did not come from Nigeria. |
diaspora! Too many Chiefs and Very Few Indians.
Halifa Salah: PDOIS is however realistic. It is fully aware that the Gambian voters are yet to reach a level of political consciousness that they rely on to vote on the basis of Principles, policies and programmes and practices. |

I told you to stop drinking your Budweiser too quickly. You might get hoccups. He is indeed lucky to be a Gambian. My people are just too nice. Hence we continue to be 'grateful' to Pa Nderry and the Sheikh for their service to the nation. |

It is very sad that this fool is allowed to spew this nonsense on the web. Sadly, no one will sue his broke ass because like you said, he will spend the rest of his wasted life paying up attorney fees alone.
I was listening to him calling out Dr. Tangara to come to him and clear the "status of his citizenship." Who the hell is Pa? Why should people go to HIM to clear the "status of their citizenship?" |

I am glad Mr M'bai came out and apologized to those he might have offended in his report.. Editor Mbai dares test limits and it's paying off because even his most fierce critics can't turn their back on Freedom Newspaper ( a powerhouse among Gambian media fraternity). Yes he's been involved in certain regrettable controversies but overall he has succeeded in in providing Gambians with very many good stuff! |

Beer? Shaka started it. My gulp was because of Shaka's harsh response, as he does it once in a while and I got scared. That is where the gulp was coming from. Not because of beer. My beer limit is two, only on the weekends when I am not working and now Ramadan is coming. So no concern for AA.
For this important topic, here is what I think, I am against any discrimination based on one's ethnicity, in this case, it does not matter how the person get citizenship, as long as he or she is a citizen and loves the country his citizenship should not be question. Whether he or she is Lebanese, Malian or British. Gambian constitution allows citizenship even the person was not born in Gambia. It also allows citizenship via marriage and staying specific time period. |

Senegambia, Ya'll are the retards of Jollof am assuming, I guess you are waiting till your fathers or mothers name is plastered over the Terrorist site for it to be of concern to you. Did you mean Freedom was a slander house for the media fraternity and an audience of half baked fools and run away soldiers and Illegal migrants from Guinea. That's all I see or hear from the freedom Blog senegambia " Balal len nyu aha". First you say lets scrutinize public officials, instead of doing exactly that you backward fools see writing bogus nonsense on the internet as a tool or weapon to eliminate your perceived enemies and in this case the very State and when that failed it was time for the Citizenry to get a share of your madness. Demba Baldeh of the GPU is even a HUNTER, There is nothing regrettable about what Pa Nderry spews my friend,The MF will eventually go to Jail and all the ******** of history can scream Human rights Abuses and lie right through their teeth!!! "Yen Deh Ngen Nyaka Jomm"........................................................................................... Peace |
