Senior Magistrate Hilary U. Abeke of the Banjul Magistrates' Court on Friday 2nd July 2010 ruled that Edwin Nebolisa Nwkaewe has a case to answer.

Mr. Nwkaewe, a Nigerian national, is Director of Programs at the organisation called African Democracy and Good Governance (ADG).

He is currently standing trial for allegedly giving false information to a public officer.

The ruling follows the no-case-to-answer submission made by his counsel, lawyer Hagum Gaye.

The trial magistrate overruled the submission made by the defence counsel, and ordered the accused person to enter into his defence. The case was adjourned to 5th July 2010.

Mr. Nwkaewe was alleged to have given false information to the Office of the President, sometime in the month of March 2010, that the African Democracy and Good Governance (ADG) is a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) which information he knew to be false.

Mr .Nwkaewe has been in custody since March 10th 2010, after he was on Wednesday 7th April 2010 granted a court bail in the sum of D5 million with two Gambian sureties, which bail condition he could not fulfil.

Only Physco will believe what comes out of these activist judges... once they can't convict you on one item they amend their charge sheets in the middle of the trial and recharge you with another crime.

What a shame and we know most of those activists judges cannot even get a job in their own native countries... so are school drop outs and they are acting as Judges in Gambia.

If you love your country so much why mortgage it to Judges who can buy their degrees online....

Oh well, in the kingdom of the blind the one eye man is the king... If the professor can obtain a Phd Degree from the university of Kanilai and supported by lunatics what else to expect from his circle?.

You are a disgrace to our nation....
