Janko, that is the spirit of politics. No one is perfect and the leaders have to listen. I am glad that Darboe embrace an open door policy in terms of suggestions and advise. Although the playing field is not level, however he will do his bit and move on whilst other take the baton. The wanton lies that, Haruna darboe is related to Ousainou is childish and foulish. Haruna is from Sandou whilst Ousainou is from Niani and they are not related by any thread apart from the surmane. And this people making those silly comments are the same crying babies that people don't like Jammeh because he is X. The crimes that Jammeh condones to them is nothing. How pathetic.

Janko, I did not know the meaning of the title to the website and I was corrected by TURK please accept my apology for comments directed to the UDP Party.
It is refressing to know that UDP are begining to take things seriously and have established a website that people can visit and give their suggestions, this is the official website of the UDP? I look forward to seeing more information written about policies and what they offer the electorate. I am not so sure that the online newspaper format is correct for a political party. The webage is a good start from being a group of like minded people who kicked about ideas and critised others, unfair really if they had nothing that was written down in the way of policies offered to prospective voters. There is still time its not yet 2011

quote: Hello everyone, and welcome to Maafanta.com.This site is going to be dedicated to women and their opinions.
It is about woman. Speaking of women, I wonder what is the women involvement in UDP. Some political organization have something like this to improve the women role in politics. A party committe/body from the top (national) to local or candidates must have at least i.e. 30 % of women participation. This will help women participation in politics. |
diaspora! Too many Chiefs and Very Few Indians.
Halifa Salah: PDOIS is however realistic. It is fully aware that the Gambian voters are yet to reach a level of political consciousness that they rely on to vote on the basis of Principles, policies and programmes and practices. |

Did I hear UDP associate itself with socialism or call itself socialist somewhere recently? Finally some dose of ideology there! As Crawford Young (1982) argued, "ideology does matter; it is not merely the froth on the African beEr, as ideology is linked to performance" of the government in office. Could the UDP stalwarts: Nyari, Santa, SeneGambia, Karamba (with due respect to his civility and moderation-I think this gentleman should be considered for future UDP leadership) clarify this, please? |

Kayjatta; I have no contact with the UDP and I do not go searching for what they say or not say. You don't, in the future, need to ask me clarify anything regarding the party. I will however continue to comment in defence whenever they or any opposition party are put under misdirected and misguided cyber antagonism. I'll take your calling me a "UDP Stalwart" as a compliment :)
I think every exposed opposition party supporter on the ground in today's Gambia is a hero/heroine. The least that we, in the blogosphere, can do for them is to unite and stop clinging too much unto individual party ideologies. Realism is what matters and the reality is all over the place to see.

Santafara, If you wanna know whether Darboe has his nephews at the L you can scroll through the archives and find it your own damn self. Let me reassure you me and Darboe we go way back. Ask your master Darboe what am about to say to you right now and see what he will say? I do not talk in vain and am pretty sure he reads, what I am saying is forget sending you to convey the message anyways. In 1994 a couple of my friends had to call Darboe in reference to Phoday Sanyang a known rebel, snitch who turned against Kukoi and became a state witness after the 1981 coup. Darboe was his lawyer at the time , He was growing Marijuana out of his house and am not talking about 3-5 plants , This man had 200 plants or more. To cut the story short this is when Chongan came into the picture , the day the home was raided he had to go see his partner "Joe Ponkal" behind Big Tree, it was raided whilst he was gone and Chongan, I mean incompetent Chongan went and reported to the State that they had taken over a rebel camp due to a couple of books one of my friends got from his dad on revolutionaries and the angola war/broken pellet gun. Ask Chongan what he took into evidence and what his role was at a drug seizure by the drug squad? this was a regular hangout spot for 13 - 16 year old boys. Let Chongan deny what I am saying right now and see what else I will say. Phoday being the funny guy he was laughed and said go call Darboe do not say anything to him just disguise your voices and say "Lawyer Darboe Inteh Lum Pho" thats all we had to say and watch lawyer Darboe spill his guts. By the way Lawyer Darboe, it was not phoday you spoke to the day after his house was raided. Lawyer Darboe specifically said it was all Chongans fault since Chongan reported him to the state and told them he had taken down a rebel camp for recognition purposes. Ask Darboe what else he told us that day, Darboe is a real coward and if you are doubting his cowardice ask him the reason why he was begging that day, while you at it ask him what his advice was to pho who is no longer alive today. Before Darboe became your God he was our boy toy my friend. pho decided to move to Daaka Paul for 5 months before he was finally picked up by the authorities this was prior to Jammeh , UDP and all this propaganda. Darboe can tell ya'll he is a hero but a grown man gave us the opportunity to know what kind of people we had within our midst. If you are doubting the legitimacy of my story you have two sources Chongan and Darboe, meanwhile I will be waiting for a response from either or since you are just another follower. In 1993 he was the first person to tell me the next president of the Gambia was none other than a Jola, I laughed my ass off that day. If I Knew better I would have listened. One day by paul's Daaka once again we saw a cow cross a bridge by it self, he laughed and celebrated like a teenager and said Gambians "EWouu Neng" its all over 1 month later it was all over and I had to leave. I never forgot what Darboe stood for and this is just my tetimony of what I don't have to be told. You are a clown fish compared to myself, so take a chill Pill brother this is between me and Darboe...........................................Peace |
I am Jebel Musa better yet rock of Gibraltar, either or,still a stronghold and a Pillar commanding direction

Attention: Nyari & Santanfara/UDP-UK; SHOW ME THE REFERENCE TO CLAIM "PARTY-LED COALITION" FROM ANY OF DARBOE'S SPEECHES, INTERVIEWS & RECORDS FROM UDP
BACK TO SQUARE ONE = SAVE THE GAMBIA DEMOCRACY PROJECT = NATIONAL ALLIANCE FOR DEMOCRACY AND DEVELOPMENT.
I WILL BE BACK TO ANALYSE THE RELEVANT POINTS ON THE SPEECH! |
