Forget, we shall not!

April 10th and 11th

on that day, we saw the early morning sun

soon afterwards, students' assembled in rows

we saw dark clouds forming in the skies

even the marabouts couldn't interprete

hitler's army were dispatched

armed with life ammunition to the teeth

headed towards innocent school children

shooting the heads, limbs and bellies of students

who were armed with pencils, pens and books

forget, we shall not!

April 10th and 11th

all we saw was beatings

all we saw was blood

all we saw was tears

....with no true redress until now.

Sad, sad, sad day and no compensation for that loss for the parents and the nation which lost more. Perhaps one day this will happen as in the Ghana case; huh ! But even then can we ever forget ?
