Beware of the charms

Smiling faces tell the truth

Exposed dentures
Mean to signal
Some scare
Some charm
Some simply confuse us all
Masked dancer in the square
Dancing to the frenzied drums beat
Shows a smiling face
Another of a weeping widow
In a dance of confusion
A display of fate in a day
Kankaari kunda moans
Jambaari kunda jubilates
All neighbours in the square
Exchanging faces in a cycle
For not long ago
It was Jambaari kunda moaning
As Kankaari kunda jubilated
This goes on and and on and on
Till the end of time.

"Afang Iblis" has created a syndrome of rat eat rat in our country such that those in the waiting line never cease to amaze us in their scramble to usurp vacated seats. As they do so their families jubilate but those who get fired have to do the moaning cycle as is usual. I find this very amusing even if there is accompanied pain in the process for those who are fired and for their close families as it were.I took that name from another on line news outlet and do not claim ownership here except; of course endorse it's aptness for Yaya jammeh.

| That indeed is true, the recycling machine has decided to dump him , not only that but sent him to the grill yard, I mean the VIP treatment centre.What used to be a correction centre now has turned into a reception centre for all kinds of miscreants and the victims are the innocent detainees such like political activists and journalists along the line, who get caught in the dragnet of the vicious regime.There are others though who could arguably be deemed to have gotten their comeuppance, we can only but pray that all this barbarism comes to an end like our worst night mares one fine day .Abaraka baakeh |
