Yellow fever lurking deep inside the bush Sending tremors down my veins I the coward keep the distance safe Asking those who want me steady To go tell the bush to stop those ominous shakes No way would I shut an eye Fixated on the ominous branches yonder Mine is that of caution
The tiny noisy mosquito flies Close to my ears Buzzing endless all night long I swat at it in futility Seeing it bent on bleeding a sucking fete My blood sending I assume sweet scents it can't miss So the night stays long and boring Me awake to ward off the sucking beast It surely hides in the bush During day light hours Away from my sore eyes
They say my kind die many deaths But I care for what I fear Caring less for what others say or think My own is that of caution Let them say what they will That shaking bush is so ominous I shan't rest steady till it does Let my detractors laugh all they can I care for what I fear
Till I know what lies beyond And know what makes it shake so I keep my safe distance Accepting the tag of coward at large But am better off safe and alive Than brave and dead
Sorry Toubab for the delayed response my PC had a breakdown , bugged so to speak, as my son was too busy downloading films from a website I suspect sent us malware, am still trying to sort this out . Thanks for your input anyway and cheers. Wow , the weather is still holding but I fear we may be heading for a bitter winter and what with all the news about catastrophic climate woes around the world, we should be wary and prayerful.
No problem pleased to see you have returned, access to computers used by young people can be a problem,I wonder what sites he/she has been visiting that probably made your computer catch a coldI was almost not going to visit this topic when I saw that it was entitled "Bush"!Your predictions about the weather could be true I understand that just today very strong winds and bad weather are on way to Japan!.
"Simple is good" & I strongly dislike politics. You cannot defend the indefensible.
