See The Latest on thinking from a Church of England Bishop via this link:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/religion/5744559/Change-and-repent-bishop-tells-gays.html

Snippet:
In an interview with The Sunday Telegraph, Dr Nazir-Ali said: "We want to uphold the traditional teaching of the Bible. We believe that God has revealed his purpose about how we are made.

"People who depart from this don’t share the same faith. They are acting in a way that is not normative according to what God has revealed in the Bible.

"The Bible’s teaching shows that marriage is between a man and a woman. That is the way to express our sexual nature.

"We welcome homosexuals, we don’t want to exclude people, but we want them to repent and be changed."

I don’t care how people live their private lives but these hypocrite Christians should not open their mouths and preach as far as I am concerned. Homosexuality and paedophilia is rampant in their institutions. How dear they dictate who should repent and who should not.

The resolve of the regulars is still quite strong in not joining into this topic which in the past has generated a lot of interest,I wonder if the name of the Bishop has any bearing on the lack of posts? or is it just because I am a white hetrosexual person,? I will not write "man" as I may offend some of the PC lobby, come on guys write something. I know they are all at an extended meeting !

the name of the Bishop i believe should not have any bearing. After all many Muslim names are old testament. Mary (mariam), David (Dawud), Moses (Musa) John (yahya), Solomon (Sulayman), Jesus (Issa), Abraham (Ibrahim), etc.

I think the name of the Bishop only goes to confirm that not all Arabs are Muslims. Arabs are equally Semetic being children of Abraham.

I think the world needs a lot more information than we are prepared to give. We are all children of God.

Like Ghandi said to a Bishop once "since we are all sinners, me might as well leave morality to God"

“When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they can seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall. Think of it--always.”
