In Remembrance of July 22,1994
To the Republic of The Gambia
We promise our allegiance to you
To work for the common Good
In sister and in Brotherhood
We will develop our Neighbourhoods.
We promise to do the best we can
To support our fellow Citizens
In good times and in bad times
We will work cooperatively
To develop our land progressively
We will ensure that the hungry are fed
We will ensure that the naked are clothed
We will ensure that education is appropriate
So that our people will no longer be exploited!
We will reach our millennium Goals
For the sick to be tended
For employment to be extended
We Pledge to be the change
We want to see
And we ask God to bless our beloved country
For future generations prosperity
This what July 22nd means to me!
