| To Anna and co. I apologize for deviating so gravely from the point. Bamba, for the harmony of smooth exchanges, holds out the olive branch. |

Absolutely, you're right. I actually printed out a copy of the "speech" and showed my colleages at work to read and they found it very immature and hilarious. But for me, its also embarrassing.
Got to go home now. Take care all ciao |

Hi! Strangely, i see myself coming home from work and instead of settling down with the daily paper, i first scan this Bantaba. Addictive? Thanks Bamba for the olive branch but i already forgave you for thinking i would wish for a place in Mr Jammeh's household.
But when i read Kobo's first reaction i thought 'Yes, he is right - this speech is confusing and worrying enough. It is understandable that people are annoyed when this subject peters out into just flippant remarks about men/women peculiarities'.
Grateful for Royale's support though, she (i think) accurately described my intention when copying the speech for those of you keeping an eye on Mr J's strange ways. |

| i just want to know, i'm i the only African/Gambian woman on this website? are there any Gambian women out there marriaged to Gambian men? can some of the women on here stop refering to your partners as "my Gambian man" geez, i'm sure he is not a pet, why not "my husband" or "my partner" but its always "my Gambian man", hopefully you see him first as your partner and second as a Gambian. |

Kassma, you are a rare gambian woman. You speak your mind and that is very good. many gambian women would not defend their rights easily. They would rather someone does it for them. I hope others will emulate you and join the bantaba. We need to hear fom them and you seem to be the lone star here.
Good job. |

| Anna,Bantaba under Momodou is potentially equipped by Momodou's "marabouts" to throw addictive spells on listmembers. If u want to gain control of anything, anybody, ask Momodou secretly for access for his exceptional "marabouts. But please dont tell other subscribers, promise. |

Hi Kassma, I'm Gambian and i think those women that refer to their partners as "my Gambian man" don't really mean to pidgeon hole their partners, or cause any harm by clarifying them that way. I think that they are just proud to have a Gambian partner and come on this site to learn about the Gambian culture and I fully support them in that. There's nothing wrong with stating where in the world their loved ones come from....it should make all Gambians proud that there is a website where anyone can voice their views on our country...
Thats what i think personally..but hey, i could be wrong..who knows.

oh, okay, so its okay if i have a boyfriend and i called him "my white man" really it doesn't sound right, its like they're trying to remind us Gambians that they do have a right to be on this website since "my Gambian man" said this, and "my Gambian man" said that, its like their little connection to Gambia. if you like bantaba, that's great, but there is not need to be like "my Gambian man". how about my husband, who's Gambian (that sounds so much better), i don't know about you, but that sounds more dignified than "my Gambian man" God forbid i should have a white husband and he refered to me as "my Gambian woman", i swear i would whoop his azz. |
