Indeed our young sister poured a huge accoulade for brother Barack. The hope is he at least fulfil some expections not withstanding the 'influences of the powers that be'. that even the queen of England once stated, 'there are evil forces out their that even she is afriad of'. i hope Aisha's powerful words inspire Barack in knowing what can only be describe as the 'great expectations'. I wonder what litrary gaint like Kay think of Aisha's words?

NOW IS THE TIME, THIS IS
OUR MOMENT:By Aisha Saidy...December 28th, 2008
There couldn't have been a time
Than this defining moment
For the revealation of
A forty years dream
To come in a compeletly sealed package
Its content sleek
Yet ordinary

I am proud
It doesn't have to do with a touchdown
Put a touch up
A slam dunk, jail time or probations
But a smash of knowledge
Wit and smoothness
Endurance and hope
Inscribing history
With a left hand

Barack
You've smashed not only
The highest glass ceiling
You broke the crystal ball
For there are no more predications
The wait is long over due
Now is the moment
This is our time

Aisha Saidy.... .December 28th, 2008

Hi Uncle Suntou,

Thanks for complementing Aisha's poem. The feedback was shared with her, and she is very humbled by it.

Also, happy new year to you, your family and the whole of the Muslim umma.

Sorry that our threads haven't been crossing here much. Many has e-mailed me asking what happened to you and Suntou. As far as I am concerned, be rest assured, ho heart feelings at all. It is only good to be cautious in our struggle. We all need one another. The game cannot be about seeing any one down. We are all fighting the same course, it don't matter how and where we do it.

We muslims must show diversity and tolerance to other cultures and religions as well, just as was demonstrated by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Also, thanks for all your enlightening pieces and timely complements.

Best of regards to you and yours,
Dalton

Thanks Santafara for sharing Aisha's poem with us, but I humbly turn down the title of a "literary giant". I have seen a few of Aisha's writings before, and I think she is a very promising writer. She has written a good poem here; and i think she succeeded in putting across what many of us have always believed in: that one day; if only one day ...
Aisha has successfully illustrated in Barack Obama that the black man does not have to emerge from self destruction (prison,probation,...)or even a pedigree of sportmansship. Aisha has illustrated that we have in Barack Obama the "real deal" of knowledege and wit that propelled him through the obstacles of race and class (the glass ceiling)..., and that because of that others can do it also ...
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Mowdo Yero for the greetings and new year wishes. Indeed, it is not significant that we mention each other by name all the time, i have always followed your threads here and else were. Keep up the optimism and community spirit.let Gainako continue on the good efforts of providing another platform to folks to air out their vibrant thoughts. it is through exchange of ideas our community will grow.
Dalton, i spoted Aisha's poem a week ago, and i was impressed by it. yes, much has already been said about Barack, but what matters is the uniqueness and/or different ways we aticulate our points. Kay, again brillaintly analyses the thoughts of our sister. Good luck to her.

Suntou,

Be rest assured that Madam Aisha is reading you as well. Like you, I was long since impressed with her poetry. She is not complement-driven but rather spirit oriented. Nonetheless, it still shows appreciation.

Among the many hand-shakes I gave Aisha, the poem she titled "I A Woman," where she is telling you who she is. Don't look for anything more, because you will fall more in love with a woman like her.

LONG LIVE AISHA!
LONG LIVE GON!

Equally, just to share your protest in the poem above, with caution that Muslims in the area must be careful not to fall of arab hypocrisy, just like white hypocrisy (US & UK especially -sponsoring terror against muslims) and Black hypocrisy (the Mugabes -doing terror against their own black folks). Israel Govt's intention is to erase Palestine off the mark. They like that sturborn groups like Hamas should launch rockets, so they can justify their mass aggression on innocent Muslims in Palestine. The Israeli Govt is aware of the predictions in the Quran, so they will do any thing to step foot on the promised victory for Muslims. Israel Govt is armed with nukes. Without God's intervention, their instinct might just hatch a plan to finish Palestine. I pray time proves me wrong on this.

Just to add, from my part, I am the most ordinary of people who likes to be independent in mind. I like to share. I am disturbed by division and hypocrisy. I take hobby in swimming, reading and being a shepherd. I like God and His creation. I like to be behind when all the cows set on the go, holding my cutlas and staff. When the cows form long lines and graze in the meadows and valleys, I like watching them from the short and long distance as their bellies fill with hay and pasture. I believe, we will re-write this part of it as time permits.

Dalton 1,cheers for the insight into your philosophy and indeed it a a respectable postulation.
May God guide our actions. Amen. Indeed, when a writer of any sorts write, and it in this day and age drop in the wilderness of the world wide web, it becomes the insignia of that person's persoanlity and essense. tell our sister, her modesty is highly respected and valued. We all should pray God give her the strenght and stamina to write beneficial inputs once in a while. as Allah commanded us in the noble quran, "read, educate ourselves and share".
Don't forget your roots dalton, no matter what. Funnly i have been to cattlehearding on only a few occassion, since my uncle feel i am more of a farm boy than a sheepheard. so although i love to wander with the animals, i was not given the chance on many occassions. there is a lot to learn by observing animals. let us all be focus and strong. God bless.
