Momodou

Kinkiliba is now packaged just like the usual tea bags(sachets). Its sold at Kairaba Super Market. I buy some sometimes. Just boil water and dip a sachet in your cup and you are on your to lands of our ancestors.

Santa, the best attaya is being sold in China Town in Birmingham. If you live around that area take the trouble to go there and get some. There is a Chinese shop in China town that sells the best brand in my opinion. I always go there to get some when my stock is running low.

Try it and give a feedback please. If you are in the Gambia try the yellow packet. For me its the best. The big packet cost D25.00. Can last you a while though. Good one!!

I used to make attaya 3x a day in Gambia. Now I don't drink as much, and when I do I get it from an Indian shop in Overland Park. But I have my coffee maker and a cup of folgerss or star bucks is my caffeine-craving ritual. Does "kinkeliba"have caffeine? What are the ingredients?

Konds you are right i once bought it at Kairaba to just test it. I wasn't impressed though. The reason could have been i was used to the un-processed one . Freshly dried from the bush.

Guys there is this confusion between Kinkiliba and teabush or some call it mbor-mbor. Kinkiliba iis the redish one without the aromatic smell. I think the teabush or mbor-mbor is the one with the aromatic smell. I was once invited to have some Kinkiliba in Senegal, i was expecting he reddish stuff to to my amazement it was teabush that was actually served. So Momodou and the Kinkilaba lovers dnt be suprised it these packs are in fact teabush.

Madiba, the tea is real Kinkiliba. I have some dry kinkiliba leaves from CRR and this packaged one tastes the same. It's the flowers shown on the package above.

I know Santafara, but I got used to coffee since Gambia, from my dad I guess. I also used to drink what we called "bush tea", I liked the smell and the taste but it doesn't give me the high (coffee nerves) like coffee does.
Lots of coffee we drink in the U.S is from Africa (grown there). Recently I noticed a gas station near my residence added a coffee brand, "Kenyaa A" to their list...
