This is a step in the right direction to open up the availability of money from WORKING ATMS in the Gambia,I get really bfed up with travelling to bank ATMS which are not working,If this bank offers a RELIABLE ATM service that is a big plus for The Gambia.

This from The Point.

Snippet:
The release added that the GTB POS terminal is a Europay, Master and Visa Cards (EMV) certified and are rolled out on a GPRS enabled network and seconded by dialogue with the capacity to perform multiple transactions within 30 seconds. The release revealed that henceforth, customers with GTBank Cashplus Card would be able to do their shopping without necessarily carrying physical cash.

I found the use of a VISA card in ATMS very expensive in Gambia. First of all you I could only receive D2000 at a time. Secondly, they charge a fee each time you receive money.

Thats true Momodou, but just think if you are a visitor and want some money because you have spent it all eating western food and other special foods at Senegambia establishments where do you get more money from ? ,OK you could phone a friend in your own country and ask them to send you some money by Western Union or Bayba,a bit of a loss of face there better to pay a little and go to a machine in Gambia yourself and maintain your independence.

Just found out that my swedish bank can offer me a second visa card that allows 12 times usage with less fee...10 or 12 skr instead of 40...check if that is possible with the bank you have.
