Today I heard that there are no Condor flights to Banjul anymore. Now it seems that the only affordable way to go there from Germany is via Dakar, with Royal Air Maroc. Or with other carriers from Holland, or from UK. What about Brussels, does anybody know if are there cheaper flights?
People on the Dutch/Gambia forum have been discussing this recently and it seems that they either use Arkefly from Amsterdam (usually booking via www.travelpoort.com); Spanair from Dusseldorf (think it involves a touch-down in Madrid though) or SN Brussels from Brussels (obviously (see www.connections.be)or Thomas Cook from London Gatwick (http://book.flythomascook.com).
The bottom line, however, seems that if you add up the extra airport taxes, additional car/train travel to your departure destination, etc sometimes the savings you think you are making aren't there any more.
Not sure if this is helpful information for you or not?
