Too much party time!!
A realistic picture of situations in Gambia depicts the country's president dancing on graves. President of Gambia indulges in organising merry making events to make things appear as if everything is fine. This is a president who KILLED constitution of the land when he took up arms to rob the nation off peaceful existence. The same president KILLED innocent citizens to drive fear and hopelessness in every citizen. He KILLED the economy to control all money and material belonging to the nation. He KILLED honesty to confuse a bunch of sycophants and fanatical supporters to bark at anyone who brings to life the facts we all know about such criminal regime. People are pretending and they like everyone else to pretend that all the illegal process prevailing in Gambia is normal. A word about this criminal government bites into the poisoned skin of these deceptive bunch of beings. It is now more than 13 years and many more compatriots are growing interest and wanting to see Gambia picked up by a properly legal government. Unless we have a government in Gambia that is free of all these illegal and criminal nature Gambians will never rest. For the president to continue his massive distractive events of merry making makes him play like a comedian dancing on tomb stones in a mass graveyard. It is that serious. Who is able to defend these outrageous crimes against humanity and wishing to stay at home without being examined? To keep asking for EVIDENCE suggests that we are dealing with properly constituted legal system. The reason why even legal big hands like Ousainou Darbo are unable to lift a feather weight of justice is because the environment does not exist for them. They end up wasting time. Most insulting of it is that the criminal regime will turn around to echo that they have allowed the course of justice in the bogus courts. This is organised crime. Let all Gambians stand against illegal governance. The only time this regime will be cleansed off their illegal make up is when the government resigns and tender open apology to Gambians for more than 13 years of illegal rule. Even after that it remains to be seen if Gambians will ever forget while they forgive the cruel past.

Gambia's president is dancing on graves! Yes that is what he is doing.

Moe

This is not a matter of Jola, Njaago, or Kumpo dance. Out of many families, some loved ones have been brutally killed. That is an issue outside the wild jokes of being Jola, dancing Kumpo or what not. If the matter of this regime was all about being Jola or Manjaago, Shyngle Nyassi was not going to stand against it. Will you deny any of the listed facts and provide caring Gambians best of facts? If there are people out there who know more than what the public is complaining this is the best time to come forward. Life is too dear to vanish for the pleasure of someone forcing to rule. Do you care about the dead souls and share the grief of affected families?

You are the heartless fool Karamba, No compassion what soever . Killing people that ain't dead yet is worse than anything you can imagine. What you think of me is just a figment of your imagination ...............................Peace

Over a dozen student rioters have been shot by men in Gambia army uniform. Deyda Hydara was shot after serving a true advocate challenging the ILLEGAL brutal rule. Koro Ceesay was lured to serve as Finance Minister. He was killed and fried by petrol in a government car. Who should have cared more about that than the very government he served at the time? These and many others have families. It is Gambian norm that we don't make mockery of dead people especially those victims of brutal circumstances. Many Gambians are still mourning and it makes sense to share that grief. Good man, what are you seeking to hide? What is your stake? You are simply insulting Gambians and not this writer. Are you happy that so much blood of the innocent is spilled on the platform that Gambian president is dancing on? By the reading of your postings you provide (without knowing) the most fitting manifest of what Gambians have been looking for. "WHEN BONES ARE MENTIONED IN A PROVERB OLD AND SKINNY PEOPLE FEEL UNEASY."

In the interest of decency we better you go ahead casting all manner of insults if that is enough to get more blood oozing from the wounds inflicted on your heart by these revelations.

It seems like the APRC propaganda machinery is up and running in the Bantaba. Very good for fair and balanced representation of opinions in this forum, if only Moe can rinse his mouth with a bit of "sabu soda" before engaging folks. The race is not for the dirtiest mouth man!!!!

Just when I thought that the bantabaa was becoming stale. Moe comes along and stirs up the vibe with a refreshing breathe of fresh air! Welcome back Moe. Shaka I hear Sabu Soda is very bitter. Karamba please show some respect for the bereaved families reducing their losses to the level of insulting people is disrespectful to their loved ones. At every turn your compulsion to insult the Gambian President is evident and can only be considered as a obsession. There are psychiatrists who can assist patients with obessive disorders just type in yell.com.

It is Yaya Jammeh and people like you who insult Gambians. If exposing the truth about a brutal coup and the subsequent killing of Gambians bites anyone's skin and prefers calling that an insult I don't call it that. The importance you attach to Yaya is not what others agree with. Can't you for one moment admit that a coup is one illegal misconduct and killing innocent citizens is still worse? What do you call that?

Bro. Karamba,

Your piece is very revealing.

Thanks for keeping us informed about the thug administration.

History and time will judge the truth. Tyrants will regret ever why they were born. Charles Taylor's case is a typical example.

I rest my case!

Regards,
Dalton.

Karamba have you visited Gambia in the last 13 years to see how much the country has changed since the coup? As Moe informed you for a long time he actually believed the propaganda peddled on the net until he saw Gambia through his own eyes. Karamba it is your view and that of your cheer leaders who may endorse your views. However 70% of Gambians who went out to cast their vote endorsed Jammeh as the Democratic Leader of The Gambia. As Moe mentioned previously that there is a platform for your views if you are willing to set up or join an opposition party. However libel claims, sedition etc are paths that lead people to face prosecution. It is dangerous to make accusations without proof and very foolish to broadcast them over the internet when there is a trend emerging where internet writers are being prosecuted for in sighting civil unrest. This point has been gone over with you at length time and time again this topic has been thrashed out lots of times but you just didn't seem to get it. Yes, you are entitled to your views however with writing comes responsibility. Therefore writing sensational headlines "President Dances on Graves." Would you really be able to defend your self in a court of law? Just wondering are you conscious that your writings maybe in breach of some UK laws and Gambian ones so if you come under either of these countries jurisdiction that you could be arrested for in sighting terrorism or coups something which you profess to detest. I'm bringing this to your attention once again. Because it is a known fact that terrorists infiltrate websites and try to gallivanize support for illegal activities on the ground.

The last time these negative threads popped up here on a consistent basis there was an attempted coup in the Gambia. Look what happened to those on the ground while instigators sat comfortably outside of the country in front of their computers pretending to be innocent. Food for thought and a words to the wise. If you genuinely want to influence change be part of a solution not the problem. By all means have alternative views, strategies and solutions without encouraging negative forces that will arrest the development of those you profess to care so much about and not to massage your ego.

Peace

in trying to divert readers attention from jammeh's atrocities, some make it a habit of telling us ,don't you see what development yahya has accompished? what a rubbish.
can we compare the life of fellow gambian to some development? the life of country men is more significant than any development.who killed koro? why is that no one has been prosecuted?

Compatriots

Here is a situation for Gambians to consider. At the homeland all public means of communication are under total monopoly of the regime. What do they do? They sell the image of a president who forced his way to power. To them that is normal. Over here on Bantaba and other independent online outlets Gambians choose to share their free views. That is called online terrorism by Gambia Government standards and those of their fanatical advocates. The regime's cyber lawyer Sister Omega will not stop until all those who write the truth to expose the wrongs of our dear society are arrested and tried at bogus Gambian courts. Wow!

"......In the eyes of the right thinking members of society...."
Kayjatta please throw some light here. Who are the right thinking members of society and why does the law count their perception?

Janko, tell us what your wise counsel Dampha will advise a society where all the means of information are under tight monopoly of the ruler and the rest of society being warned not to use the only avenue (cyberspace) to convey simple truth?

Karl Marx warned about freedom that many of those who fight for it end up suppressing it. The APRC regime was free to denounce the preceding government to justify the forceful 22 July 1994 military coup. Now they prefer to suppress freedom of opinion. Ooo La La

Greek Philosopher Socrates was to decide one way out when faced with the threat of death. He was to stop exposing the truth or risked the penalty of facing death sentence. He settled for a death sentence. Before finally being dragged to be killed by poisoning he addressed his judges with short remarks: "....Now the hour of departure has come. You to live and I to die. Whoever is right only God knows......"

While awaiting in jail before taking the lethal poison his friends tried to persuade him to escape custody by bribing the guards. Socrates resisted the persuasion to escape. His reason was that he rather died and leaving the truth to live for ever than him living for a while longer and the truth dead for ever. More than 300 years before Jesus Christ was born the truth that Socrates left behind is still alive.

"Your truth, my truth, the truth" (Courtesy of Kondorong.) I would imagine Kondorong as one of those wise companions of Socrates in the house of wisdom and truth. Kondorongs must have been living since then.

In Million years, deception will never yield. Why Gambia remains in this whirling nightmare without salvation is because truth is being suppressed and denied. Our good compatriot Brikama clearly observed that without rectifying the legal error there will be no political orderliness. That is the solid fact that those who challenge this illegal regime on political grounds without the proper legal setting, will continue to suffer. To challenge a legislation in court and moving ahead to patronise the political process giving credence to that illegal legislation is out of order. The opposition in Gambia can do better when they concentrate on rectifying the legal error rather than accepting to patronise it.

By all means the number in "...the right thinking members of society." requires topping up.
