No gambian wants war or violence or coups for that matter. In many ways i do not belief that there was an attempted coup we have seen this several times it is always the same story. In the end, if they are not lucky, they end up being killed or die in prison like Sadibou hydara or shot. Remember the one who was shot in the market and dragged by his feet from the market to the state house. Yet omega is talking of a spirit of reconcilation. How can the country reconcile when there is no justice. Havent you read the account of the aledged coup plotters being beaten in the streets before they are arrested and in the case of two of them, tied up like animals. Don't insult our intelegence. If you are an *****, we are not. Dont be so stupid as to assume that we are all *****s. How can there be reconcilation when this murderous regeme is still committing its crimes. Even if thise were actual coup plotters (which i doubt very much) how come the government cannot wait for the justice system to punish them. Must they be totured during their arrest. Do they have acccess to lawyers? Are their rights being protected in jail. Please stop trying to lick jammeh's ass every chance you get. It is atragedy what is happening to our country and one has to be extremly dumb or completely dishonest not to recognize it. It is easy for Jammeh and Jawara to reconcile. They are both thiefs and jammeh is a murderer. They do not contribute anything possitive to africa they are setting africa and gambia back dacades

Kajaw, we have converged on the same point. my arguement is always that the rule of law must always apply. No one should take the law in their hands and pre-empt the judicial system. If yaya was in the same situation he would have liked a proper treatment therefore he should apply it in this circumstant.
Africans are renouned for this kind of behaviour. You look at yaya and you think he is the most pious muslim on earth but his actions make you conclude that he is a hypocrete and deserves no respect. Is this kind of behaviour islamic? Is Islam not about the previledged showing mercy to the underpreviledged? Is Islam not about forgiving and forgetting? Why then is yaya always portraying himself as a muslim and not behaving as one. When he talks you feel inundated with revolsion.
Since this guy came to power, Gambians have seen unprecedented level of abuse of office. To him life is not worth anything, this is amaizing about yaya. The amount of economic ruin is immeasurable, the level of social injustice is collosal, the level of nepotism is unbelievable, hardship resides in every inch of that land and continuing the conquer everybody. What is left for us to live for?
MAY ALLAH EXTRICATE US FROM THE CLUTCHES OF THIS EVIL. |

It is scary to ear a deadbody being dragged to state house. I think we will also need a Truth and Reconciliation Commission after Yaya. |

I would like to clarify one thing. That dead body issue was not this past "Coup Attempt" It was in one of the many previous attempts. I had a friend who owns a stall in the market. The victim was chased down from the statehouse to Albert Market by solders of the state gurde shot in the back in front of the crowd and dragged by his feet from the market to statehouse. What baffles me is that people still do not recognize this government for the criminals they are. They are murderers and thugs. The earllier we wake up to that fact, the better for all of us. |
