I have been searching forty-five years for my brother who was adopted.
When I returned from The Gambia at the end of May I had a letter waiting for me that he had been located!
Last Tuesday he was sent an official letter explaining his sister had located him & was trying to make contact. Wednesday he contacted the intermediary. Thursday he e-mailed me. Friday morning he sent a photograph – and Friday afternoon, he phoned “Hi Sis” He had no idea he had a sister – or his name at birth. I did know I had a brother since I was four/five. But have no other brothers or sisters.
All the above ONLY came about through a change in the law from 31st Jan 2005 for relatives of adopted persons....www.norcap.org.uk/
Shattered & ecstatic….I am off to The Gambia this week – & will meet him on my return… Sab.
The world would be a poorer place if it was peopled by children whose parents risked nothing in the cause of social justice, for fear of personal loss. (Joe Slovo - African revolutionary)
To MeMe, I'm really looking forward to him being a pain - then sisters are allowed to beat brothers up aren’t they? sab.

Not sure about that ..... hopefully you'll both have lots of years to find out I can tell you though that my brother is always there for me no matter what and that is something to treasure!
