A citizen of his calibre is what we need. All hands on deck, this is my man of the century who sees given back as a noble task that should be emulated. He is the author of the book titled "Africa We Owe it to Our Ancestors,Our Children and Ourselves" Click the link below to read one of the best stories on Gambian forums.

The struggle should go beyond politics. It is a battle of conscience..

Mawdo Demba,

I second you in cogratulating our eloquent Gambian professor, Dr. Ba. The man is admirable. The book he authored is a must read for all. I like his favorite quote "Criticize and offer solutions." These are all lessons that the struggle must be practical.

"Many are called but few are chosen.", Lasisi Alloah Tajudeen, my Nigerian english teacher always echoed in 1993/4.

Dr. Ba, May Almighty Allah give you all the support you need in fullfilling your positive dreams. Amen.

Sincerely,
Dalton.

"There is no god but Allah (SWT); and Muhammad (SAW)is His last messenger." shahadah. Fear & Worship Allah (SWT) Alone! (:

I very much agree on his motto ”education, knowledge and action is key to our future” and do hope the project will work out well. I started reading his book in January though I haven´t finished it yet. One thing I noticed is that he throughout the book uses terms Africa and Africans, and not Gambia. Narrating about his childhood he several times mentions age groups and how important they are for upbringing. This term makes me a bit confused as I never heard of it before.
