While there are hundreds of topics on how bad the Gambian President. I have a feeling that gambian posters might turn to eternal turkish leftist parties rhetoric, opposition but not solutions. While it is important to critizes, especially on democracy, the president but

- Gambia being one of the poorest country in the world. Is there co-relation between economic prosperity and the level of democracy? Do we blame only president for the failures? What is the literacy rate for gambians to establish democracy? What percentage people have newspaper access, or TV access to follow political process to make decision whom to vote? Do they know about the terms "universal human rights", "inflation", "recession". They vote based on what? Do they read newspaper everyday and see what is going on everyday.

- Every nations get the politicians they deserve? Are ordinary gambians have no responsibilities for bad politicians? Or perhaps bad president? My wife and her family have many problems but still they love the president? Why?

- Many posters living in western world, or more intellectual. Are they turning to "typical arrogant intellectuals" to make critizes while isolated from the "gambian reality".

What are the solutions rather than skeptism?

Energy, agriculture, tourism, foreign policy, globalization, "unique democracy to gambian realities", local governments etc...

Recent election in Turkey give a lesson to the politicians. The party "Republican People Party", the party who established the republic of Turkey, became the party who is supported by "intellectual", "wealthy". Their major demand for the election "secularism", but the people punish them with not much vote and supported the party that provide them economic prosperity, not so much worry about "secularism". Here is my point.

WHile many posters talk about "more democracy". Do gambian really need more democracy? Are posterns turning to arrogant intellect who live in west or wealthier gambians who don't worry about "food", "cooking", "water for laundry", "job", "sick baby", "sick mother", "no medicine", "no education opportunities".

diaspora! Too many Chiefs and Very Few Indians.

Halifa Salah: PDOIS is however realistic. It is fully aware that the Gambian voters are yet to reach a level of political consciousness that they rely on to vote on the basis of Principles, policies and programmes and practices.
