jambo,
It was Toubab who said so and I asked him what truth? I cannot answer it because we were debating and he just posted it. He must be able to explain the truth he is lamenting about here. Remember, the nature of his question was what made me to reply him that the Gambians do not know where the rebels get their weapons. I am right to say so because it is not the Gambians who supply them with it. There has been accusations before but nobody has come up with facts to prove it. Furthermore, there has been accusations too that the Gambian army was involved some how , but still no profs yet.
This is the reason.
I have never said here that the affairs of Senegal is not Gambias problem. I think it is very easy to be misquoted here.
I think one has to know people before we accuse them for things. I have relatives from Cassamance who are right now at my place to take refuge because of the nonsens war. I hope you read between my lines.
I suggest Toubab should not ask this particular questions to Gambians when there are Senegalese to answer it.
If the Gambian army had the decipline, they would have done with the raids the rebels do on Gambian border with Cassamance. We have all withnessed the mediation the Gambian government tried before but failed.

OK, I think that there are some crossed wires here, discussions have been taking place from a starting point that was not meant to be a basis for a discussion on this topic that misdirection revolves around my posting where I said "truth was truth" a subsequent posting asked me to define "truth", I could not,the answer I gave to "truth" was my definition of a word nothing else,I have no proof of anything or implication by anybody.I am sorry if my answer has been misinterprited and developed into a feeling that I must know something about this problem I dont. The reason I posted this topic was to broaden my understanding of the conflict and the fact that men who are poor could not possiably buy weapons for themselves.

"Simple is good" & I strongly dislike politics. You cannot defend the indefensible.

toubab1020,
You are well understood. It is true you doubt how poor prople in Cassamance can afford to buy weapons to fighjt instead of buying medecine and food of their wellbeing. It is a riddle indeed. But remember there is a force behind them surely. Who ,we have to find out. When I met Jay Sady and Father Senghor in the early 80s, non of them were able to explain to you why the fight and how they can survive from the rest of Senegal with only 800 000 people. There are even some of the rebel leaders who just dissapeared in France. There are speculations that they have been killed in France. Nobody can tell you how he dissapeared.
For the time being. we should give the Gambia a chance of inocence until we findout or get the real truth.
I did not meabn all these inconvience on the debate.

toubab1020 its not a news in that people come up with answer that might not have the same views.
my answer to those blaming the gun lobbyist is why not chasing those asking for the it?
If i cite in my house not having or showing any interest for it will one come and sale me it or force me to ?
Senegal problems particular Cassamas is more than our problem, from family concern to the geographical affairs so we simple cant ignored it!
Am wondering how long one will come up with great ideas which should be acceptable to both side by stopping this none sense-brutal bloodshed!

http://allafrica.com/stories/200706041320.html please read this, because i think this the reason that gambia should take note of what is happening in this part of the country. 5,000 refugees is a lot a people to feed and house.
