Kobo
You have never been so receptive to someone else's ideas like this time. Are you Gambianpatriot. Certainly your avatar bears some semblance.
To ask him to "CARRY ON WITH YOUR INTENTIONS" if i may quote you and to be shouting loud about it especially when you capitalise it, is an outright support.
Well i dont therefore expect you to have ever endorsed the paper in the past. |

I like Kobo's interventions and this is my way of getting at him.
I am happy you fell for it Kobo.
Gambianpatriot.
This is why i like free speech. It breeds healthy discussions and allow us to hear others. There are two sides to a coin but that can only be known if the coin is flipped other wise, our minds will forever remain as tabularasas, gaining no experience or development.
BB Darboe's interview definitely wetted my appetite in understanding Teri Kafo. I was all the more suprised that infact of all members of that society only him ever became an MP or Minister. I was made to believe that Saikou Sabally was a member which he denied. I was suprised how much retentive memory he has of the composition of the senior civil servants. That sent me back memory lane to the Langley's, Carrol's, Sallah's, Evans, Senghores and many well rounded technocrats that managed the Civil services. Their likes will never come.
I truly concur with BB that the civil service was not political. Many of us went to the supreme court to nominate PDOIS presidential candidate and came back to our jobs proud to tell our supervisors about it and still held our jobs only few hundred yards from police headquarters in Banjul. Some of us even posed for pictures with no fear of any sort.
I think BB Darboe knows better since Saikou's son was "adopted" by him. I saw his car pick the boy up called Lamin Sabally if i recollect better on one of my visits to Gambia High School.I wished he cleared that in the interview about the "strange bedfellows" allegations. May be he was too humbled to blow his trumpet.
This is not an endorsement of BB but an endorsement of free speech. All of us have a righ to be heard.
Long live free speech.
Well you quickly posted on your blog that The Echo had not published the interview. Would you now tip your hat for them now that they delivered as promised.
[b] I am also trying to keep you honest if i may borrow your statement.[:D] |

I just saw it when it was too late to withdraw. Sarahulemen are hardliners.
You caught me on this one.
But i will also try to keep you honest. Thats what a democracy is all about. Free to speak if you have something to say. What makes sense is not somthing we can all agree on. One man's meat is another man's poison.

It takes a big man to admit error. I am glad you are trying to keep me honest and will admit as you just did when I err. To err they say is human.
