The arrest of Journalist Fatou Manneh is another government plot to keep us away indefinitely. It is evident that the Jammeh regime has taken every desperate move to crack down on his critics. They expect to use Fatou as a message to the rest of us to stay away.

Well, we have a message for this regime. By now they should know that all their oppressive tactics have failed miserably. First they started arresting people and hiding them for months and months without anyone knowing where they are. This has not stop people from contineously putting pressure on the regime. Second they threatened citizens who's names appeared on the Freedom list, but this also proof futile. They have even engaged mask gangs to eliminate prominent opponents of the regime. This was probably to the biggest threat, but it has only made us more committed to our cause to fight against the regime. Now what are they left it? Nothing but being on the defensive.

So fatou's arrest only encourages us to put more pressure and scrutize the regime in everything they do. They are now confused as to who is an opponent and who is not. Information keep flowing the moment they engage on anything. It appears they are now left with nothing but to recircle their old dirty methods which have not work.

For their information, we have reached a point of no return. Every move must be published for the world to see. Every citizen has the moral obligation to diseminate information to protect our country. Regardless of where you are, you can still send information for publication. let us all join hands and fight the injustices of this regime by exposing their dirty plans. Please click on the link below to read more about Fatou's Arrest.

The struggle must continue, and we must not be deterred from visiting our homeland whenever we need to. Going to jail is no longer a disgrace, but a pride we should also embraced. If you don't go to Jail, then you are part of the criminals periods.

Free Journalist Manneh and all others in such unlawful detention.

Uncle Santa,
In another instance, i share ur sentiments.

"So fatou's arrest only encourages us to put more pressure and scrutize the regime in everything they do. They are now confused as to who is an opponent and who is not. And no stone should be left unturned. Thanks for your stance.

As per updates on Fatou:
And Fatou says hello to all those offering prayers and shedding tears on her behalf, though she is worried that she won’t be able to attain her mother’s charity {Islamic & traditional gathering conducted for prayers, a month and a half after someone is deceased.} I join you to wish her a faster recovery from the emotional stress and slavery of a tyrant and his desperate cronies. I wish her mum a peaceful resting. Amen.

To be honest with you, the pressure is so huge that Jammeh and his NIA are unable to contain it. As per updates, yesterday, she was allowed to change clothes, and enjoy her family’s home-cook meal, something that others don’t usually have. They have an interest in arresting Fatou. It’s the scare tactics which won’t move others an inch. Avoiding physical contact with the Jammeh tyranny will never be cowardice, but I tell you what, only God Almighty is lasting, everything else is temporal.

Mawdo Yero, no nation has ever attained freedom and liberty for its citizens without the sacrifice of a few honorable citizens. Without that sacrifice in any form we shall always be enslaved. Sister fatou is a great hero and am sure her intelligence alone is intimidating to those so called policing the state. It is a disgrace and am sure left alone with fatou they will start asking for tips....

Every action taken by Jammeh and his Kankuran dancers will be scrutized to the last drop. It is clear they are scared and always looking over their backs. Cowards die twice...

Information is the biggest threat to a dicatorial regime. Without keeping the people ignorant of events, one cannot control the human mind and behavior. We must continue the pressure in anyway we can. Sometimes it is the anogy and frustration that leads to their down sudden down fall. It is a matter of time before the kingdom of Kanilai start crumbling as it is built on a lose foundation.

Lets not let our emotion cloud our judgment here. Fatou Jaw's arrest and continued detention is a deplorable act and should be condemn by all and sundry, but the above statement made by baldeh is a rhetorical blunder as well. Opposing the regime and not going to jail doesn't make anyone a part of the criminals if you don't partake in their criminal activities.

Bronx,

becareful not to misunderstand Demba's statement above. it goes with context.

Like the mandinka saying goes "nyii koroh lehbeh moo ning ala kairoh temmah, wottoh ahyeh wuyang." -meaning if there is a barrier between a man and his success/progress, then let that barrier storm. Just my observation.

Dalton,

I went back and read what Demba wrote and I still believe it is an emotional outburst. So your attempted admonishment in this case is misplaced. I am not trying to start another flame war here. The issue [vis-a-vis Fatou's predicament] demand decorum. I was just cautioning against emotional outburst such as the one baldeh made in that statement.

Point of Correction

Hello Dalton, Fatou went to pay respect to her Late Dad and not her Mum who is ALIVE and living at sukuta manneh kunda, Fatou's family home. Thank you all for your concern.
