Point of Correction

Hello Dalton, Fatou went to pay respect to her Late Dad and not her Mum who is ALIVE and living at sukuta manneh kunda, Fatou's family home. Thank you all for your concern.

Hi Maple,
Thanks for your observation & correction. See my revisited/corrected version below.

Also, Correction.

Thanks Christine,

I tried to contact Joe yester evening to see if he can forward his post box here so that those interested can contribute their quotas towards Fatou’s legal cost. At the same time, I was informed by Cherno that Banka Manneh might be the one responsible for such a move. If so, then I call on him to forward his post box address to the Gpost, and other forums. It won’t be too much Christine if you forward your post box for others to send theirs to you, and to write a letter as usual for distribution. The green light is already given by her brother.

Correction:

I kept saying Fatou’s mom. Guys, excuse it. I just checked my e-mail archives of my discussion with her at the time after someone brought it to my attention. It’s her father and not mother who died. “Parent” could take either ways.

I am encouraged to see the press releases signed by Mr. Mballow and Jow.

Free Fatou Jaw Manneh now!! Free all political prisoners now!!

It’s almost a morning prayer for me.

Yero.

Lets not let our emotion cloud our judgment here. Fatou Jaw's arrest and continued detention is a deplorable act and should be condemn by all and sundry, but the above statement made by baldeh is a rhetorical blunder as well. Opposing the regime and not going to jail doesn't make anyone a part of the criminals if you don't partake in their criminal activities.

Brother Bronx, Dalton is right, you are taking that statement out of context. Sometimes a statement by itself does not tell you exactly what a writer is trying to say. You must be able to read the entire paragraph to get a clear meaning of what the writer implies.

Certainly you do not mean to understand that I mean all those who have not been to jail are criminals. If that is your understanding then am sorry I should used simple language.

If you read the statement before that "Going to jail is no longer a disgrace, but a pride we should all embraced". This statement underscores the millions of unjustifiable reasons the regime gives in detaining innocent citizens. The statement further butress the thousands of innocent citizens that went to jail without any justification.

Further more, Bronx, My initial statement "If you don't go to Jail, then you are part of the criminals period" defines the regimes fear mongering tactics and lack of cohesiveness or respect for the constitution and rule of law. The statement further means that the biggest criminals in the regime don't see the walls of the NIA head quarters much more Mile II. Here are futher proof that my statement is used in the right context.

Where are the criminals who pierce bullets at our innocent students on April 11?
Where are the barbaric criminals who shot Deyda Hydara few yards from a police station?
Where are the criminals who burned Ousman Coro Ceesay to death without any reason?
Where are the several other criminals who commits crime against our innocent citizens in the name of defending this regime?

Have any of these people ever been questioned, detained or face a trial? You don't have to answer this one. This is what this statement "If you don't go to Jail, then you are part of the criminals period" means.

Thanks for letting me make myself clear...

No. my learned friend Bronx, your contributions has always been insightful on this forum. I always like to read your part because you presents a different perspective or at least look at things differently. It has nothing to do with age or intelligentsia. Am glad you called me on it so I can clarify. Others may have understood the statement the same way you did. I understand you are part of my audiences and am lucky to have people like you critique some of the writings. I am still in the school of writing and learning to improve always. Thanks for the thought.
