Uncle Santa. might have some valid points in that assertion. Hassan was also speculated at a time. i cannot say how far some went into pursing that. just my side of the coin. But OJ's case was more famous, after Dullo Bah , NRP's # 2 man endorsed him during the selection process, giving birth to the rumours that OJ bribed him, or promised him something in return.

I see. I thought he might has mistaken Hassan with O.J.

NO MOMODOU , i mean hasan jallow . a gambian guy came to my work place at some point shortly before nadd colapse .he informed me that there as been a secret clandestine plot taking place in the newly formed coalition .he said some memebers approached hasan jallow in tanzania to come and assume the flag beareship of nadd .i at that time was less intersetd in gambian politics .i was so uninterested that i was not even aware of any coalition of political parties . so when he told that story i was still not very interested .he said lots of things but as i said i will not divulge too much i don't want to agravate the already messy situation .

It’s important for the electorate and supporters in the diaspora to know the whole truth otherwise the mistrust created by this breakup will further make any reconciliation impossible.

Honestly, I am completely ignorant about the Hassan Jallow factor that’s why I thought you were mistakenly mentioning him.

By the way, to clear Hassan's head from the whole pla, he never opted for any position. A very humble guy indeed, who is not driven by material or position. Such he demonstrated when his father deceased, and was to be the heir of the 'mat'-local terminology, and he ended the much talked about push and pull. He is a very educated guy in both the Quran, and English. One of his nephews was a class mate and a best friend in HS..But he was thought to be one among the many, possessing true leadership qualities and the respect to unseat Jammeh. So was Dr. Sidat Jobe, Bakary Njie (Gamtel), Dr. Isatou Touray, Hawa Ceesay-Sabally.

The debate honestly continues, and under this topic as the author honestly argued, we should examine OJ, Darboe and Waa Juwara (i am surprised he left out Juwara). The later two of the three, UDP"s SG (Darboe) and propaganda Secretary(Waa) at a time-they didn't help by their sour relation dating back to their parting, leading to Juwara's formation of NDAM. I had a long discussion with Darboe, some of it still in tapes. Halifa, a humble man of time, truly never was interested to be the leader. it left him with no choice. But for the spirit of reconciliation, Juwara and Darboe needs to eat a black bull together.

See, i was a fan and sympathiser to Juwara, just of late, he couldn't clear the air on certain headlines at the daily observer. It is still rumours that he deflected---like a best friend informed me earlier, Juwara was going to be speaker of the house, but it turned out FJC's marabouts are more powerful than the 'mbarodi' believed to be dealt with spiritually by the late Nyamina Chief Seefo mbora Mboge, whom he fought tooth and nail with at a time. (note: a grandpa of mine from an extended family narrated Juwara's fight with Mboge to me. it is interesting to know what his life was/is like."

To be continued...
