Was it October 2001 after the rigging and stealing of the Presidential elections in The Gambia at the so called victory celebration at former Maccathy Square [now called July 22 Square and hope it will be changed to Independence or Liberation Square soon] that so called Pres Elect Yaya Junkung Jemus particularly selected and commended Rtd Lt Col Abdoulie Conteh? Observers want to know why, because while 1996 was "magic"ed by Junkung through the falsifications of voter returns after Gabby was arrested and taken to State House by Edward and Yanks in full battle combats and Gabby administered several slaps when he first refused to change the voting scores with his famous " Sir, I am just doing my job".
In 2001, the self same Gabby was bought with D2 million by Junkng through Baba Jobe and Junkung's YDE funded by taking over state assets, contracts and projects, importing and exporting with paying any taxes, duty exemption on fuel in deals with Castle Oil of Hasib Massry, deals with Amadou Samba and Tariq Musa but mostly monies earned from the blood diamonds for arms and gun running in Sierra Leone using the now UN and US White House executive order banned New Millenium Airline. But I digress, the 2001 election was rigged by the massive illegal registration of aliens and non citizens from Peul futas from Guinea Conakry, over 20, 000 Casamance jolas housed in Brikama and the former Yundum college, Sierra Leone refugees in the Kombos registered by the KMC under Rd Lt Col. Conteh, Senegalese and all. It was Lai Conteh who organized the logistics in the Kombos from Kanifing Kombo St Mary's Division to Kombo North, South, East and West.
In 2001, Junkung was shocked by the poloarity of the Coalition of UDP-PPP, it was chief spoiler Sheriff DaKallo Mustapha Dibba [also bought by Baba with D2 million], Hamat Bah and Halifa Sallah who broke ranks and still, Junkung stole another sham election. Today, Baba is disgraced and in Mile 2, his family and thuggish supporters smarting from the betrayal [mostly youths from Mandinka extraction and Libyan trained cadres like Buba Senghor], Lai Conteh is receiving his chereh ak meww, Edward is smarting on the sidelines and Gabby has also been disgraced for a second time while a new mercenary prostitute - Ndondi Corrupt Njai who turned GTTI into a personal and family fief is Junkung's new Errand buy-Guru. The illegally registered foreign voters were booted out by Jammeh and Yanks, after 2001 with hiked up alien registration fees and mass arrests of aliens. I know Peul futas who left after voting in 2001 for Junkung and could not pay alien fees for themselves and families hiked from around D1000 to D10,000 a year. They could not get any help from the ordinary Gambians who had hosted and rented their shacks, garages to them as shops. Swift retribution justice.
Today, Senegalese petty traders and aliens in The Gambia hate Junkung more than anyone. The Casamance Rebels were also similarly sold out by Junkung with the arrest and deportation of their spokesperson Alexander Gibba who until late 2002 was hosted at the former Atlantic Hotel, with all expenses by Junkung and Baba Jobe. So one can see how the unholy and disgusting alliance between Junkung, Edward, Yanks, Baba Jobe and Lai Conteh [for those who wondered what role Lai Conteh played, now you know] is unravelling and the stranglehold on The Gambia is breaking down and it will.
This is also a word of advice to those who see the mole in their brother's eye not not the mountain in their eyes. The time for selective amnesia is over, he who is with Junkung is against us, from Bala Gaye to Mamburay Njie, no more self opportunism at the expense of the masses, bygones are bygones but from now onwards, to quote Hamat Bah, The Gambia has only one problem, not APRC, not Sana Sabally or Edward ONLY YAYA JUNKUNG JEMUS JEMBOY JAMMEH.
We will open a big tent for all comers, all repentants and UNITED AGAINST JUNKUNG just as LIBERIANS decided that TAYLOR WAS THE DEVIL AMONGST THEM. MAY GOD GRANT US VICTORY AGAINST JUNKUNG AND SHAITAN AND REMOVE THEM FROM OUR MIDST..AMEEN

| Dave,first, this article was reposted by Galo but written by me, AMNA and second I apologize for the error of associating Ndondi Njie with GTTI which was his brother Makaira, another nepotist corrupt one. Ndondi Njai began working for Junkung after his retirement. Typically as all Sir Dawda era civil servants, corruption was limited to daily pickings and packing offices and institutions with incompentent family members, a case exemplified by Makairah Njai at GTTI where his daughter and nephew became heads of section. But in I believe 2002, Ndondi was asked by the World Economic Forum to provide the survey data, he worked hand in hand with Junkung in their typical myopic way [approached close family members, Banjulians like Bala Gaye] to falsify the data which resulted in The Gambia placing first in economic development in Africa and third or fifth in the World. A fact much repeated and trumpeted by the Junkung apologists and acolytes like Fougah Jai Ceesay [Fatou Jahumpa Ceesay - my favorite political whore of all times], anyway it was both shortsighted and stupid as was Junkung's 7 tonnes of hashish shipped from Asia [through Ambassador Antouman Saho] and intercepted in Nouakkchott addressed as fertilizer to the Ministry of Agriculture, State House Banjul. Greedy and shortsighted. of course, once you screw an institution like the World Economic Forum, and make them the laughing stock of the serious world, the white man, massa will teach you a lesson [ask Mugabe], in fact less than 24 months after, Junkung was revealed in his nakedness, the corruption at State House and the Central Bank of The Gambia were revealed, the dalasi devalued. Baba Jobe and Operation No Compromise practically destroyed the APRC. The selfsame Ndondi who I was reliably informed had major audit queries to answer to is now Junkung's boy boy and now replaces the perennially useless and abused Gabby Roberts as Junkung's go go dancer at the so called Independent Electoral Commission, packed as always with spineless toadies. To cross verify my facts, go back to old Forum on all my writings, which are my views and opinions but backed by anecdotal evidence. I learned about Ndondi in 2003 and am not surprised that Ndondi and Bala Gaye became Junkung's latest slaves. On the facts with Rtd Lt Col. Lai Conteh, nothing quoted is new, the address at so called July 22 Square after the elections of 2001 is official and public records, with Jammeh wielding his sword at a mascot dressed in yellow. I know sometimes in this forum, we have to expose relatives, but if this nightmare is to end, our relatives must face up to the scrutiny. Nothing stops anyone from refuting facts here. I read with fascination as the so called Justice Haddy Roche tells Government Prosecution and Defence lawyers of dismissed Mayor Conteh to resolve their issues amicably. I am trying to imagine where in our legal books, Judges are now required to play reconciliation. The Government arrested, detained, dismissed Lai Conteh and charged him with resisting arrest, corruption, economic crimes. The defence has their work cut out as does Government and today the Point calls Haddy Roche a Justice with a difference...what difference, protection of one of their own, Banjulians. Give me a break. Lai Conteh, Antouman Saho, FJC are all the same, the very people that continue to aid, abet and succour this vampire regime. Unless we are honest and truly repentant, we dont deserve redemption. Let us not remove the anthill in our brother's eye and leave the mountain in our own. The worst allegation on Antouman Saho and Lai Conteh was the role they played on November 11 2004. It is alleged that Junkung, Sana, Edward, Yanks, Peter and the late Sadibou had all these guys take part in the execution of the alleged "coupists" to prove their loyalty. That day, the so called bloodless coup of 1994 became bloody. That day, they all became one in killing, equally culpable. That is what binds them. Unless you have committed the gross crimes these people did, you are only a spectator. Let us see how this saga will play out, the Lai Conteh saga. Peace |

This is not promoting peace, this is maslaha and nafiqin at the highest level..I recall the Junkung expulsion of Lai Conteh said no appeals will be entertained..Junkung, this is defying you. Is LAI CONTEH - BOY BAMBARA TO STRONG FOR BOY JOLA? Justice Rouche a Judge with a Difference

The news that Justice Haddy Rouche of the High Court has called on the two parties involving former Mayor Lai Conteh Vs the State, to come to terms and solve the matter amicably is indeed a good step that deserves high commendation.
Barely few months after her appointment, Justice Rouche does not only demonstrate that she is a judge with a difference but also exhibit the quality of a mother and a protector of the very social fabric that interlinks all Gambians.
“I don’t think we have to be at war,” says Justice Rouche while addressing both sides in the case. She was also quoted as saying that “I want to give both sides an option to go and discuss. I don’t think this matter should progress”. These very words of Justice Rouche are quite touching and go to remind all Gambians that irrespective of our differences we are all members of the same family.
As Gambians, we should at all times promote the friendly co-existence that existed among us since time immemorial. Once more, bravo Justice Rouche, and keep up the good job.[/i][/i] |
