What is your problem boy? You are realy a pain in the Ass Lemon. Read my posting before replying because people reply. You seem to be an *** ***. I have to take this language because you have been calling me all sorts of names after all warnings. You are angry because I proved that you are a notorious liar, when you pretended to live in South Africa. Just ignor my postings because there is no sense in your replies. |

| Sorry Alhassan, but I also understood that you tried to wash the VP from every doubt because she was your classmate and you knew her as a nice person. This of course can't be a serious argument. |

Sorry Alhassan. Just because the VP was your classmate does not make her a saint. Us Gambians need to be more objective and unbiased. Peole can change over time especially after attaining power. Lets leave it to the judiciary or a special committee (Grand Jury) to determine if she is guilty or innocent as us ordinary citizens do not know all the facts surrounding this matter. Just my 2 bututs. |

I quote from my posting."Isatou is my classmate from Armitage. We have known eachother since primary six at Brikama School." Where in this sentence have I said that she is innocent. knowing her since shhool does not mean what you people interpret it o to be. I suggest you ask before drawing conclussions. Gambians are quick to draw conclussions with just assumtion. This is very bad. I refer you back to my first posting on this topic. |

It is sad that the VP is going to be another victim of an irresponsible administration. I always maintain that if you allow yourself to be used by Jammeh's system, then you deserve to be treated like others who are also caught.
No one is forced to serve under this regime. Corruption is an open market bit under Jammeh. It is like what former President Jawara used to say " you make a living where you work" meaning it is ok to steal as long as you make good out of it. He used to retire people who are acused of serious embezzlement and history can proof it.
Yahya has used and continue to use Isatou Njie Saidy as an example for elevating women. The fact is he destroys them faster than he elevates them... If it is true she ought to face the same Kangaro court she helps to maintain. If you live by the gun, you die by the gun... It is the same sad story |

| Alhassan, I am not a Gambian but maybe I misinterpreted your posting. If you included her in the ones who should be put behind bars if found guilty... sorry. It sounded as if you would like to exculpate the VP. This maybe because we are all too much used to sentences like: 'I know XY from school, and he was always a nice fellow'. |

That's ok. The problem is that the said artickle was printed on the freedomnewspaper. Both the paper and the journalist who wrote are not to be trusted. This people are not trained journalists and have no etics in writing. They wrote some times ago that Edward Singateh was arrested and was in mile2 which was a big lie. As from today I declare that the article about Njie Sady from the freedom newspaper is a big lie. Most of the guys on this forum are of the same camp. they have no good sources of their information. People should be very careful when they read most of the nonsense written on the Freedom newspaper. It is a real radio KAN KAN. Lemon time and his gang are here for the newspaper, but I am one of those who suggeasted to the editor of the paper to look for more reliable sources. A good and sound journalist does not base his evidence on rumore or heresay. This is the cuulture of most of the so called Gambian journalists. I even think Njie Sady herself should make a protest if she is used by Jammeh. This Gambian attitude of "He uses people " is not a fact. If you allow yourself to be used as an adult that is it your own fault. One must always the question WHY, where and how. Even if you trust the person , you must question things. |

| Alhassan, I also have my doubts about Freedom Newspaper. I don't mean to be offensive, but even a non-journalist could see that sometimes they fail to observe journalistic standards. |

Alhassan,
If a Gambian journalist has to follow the Gambian rules on journalism then he can only write the following news : President Jammeh received more congratulations ..... bla bla bla..... President Jammeh promotes the Kanilai medecine... bla bla bla. You must be aware of that.
Big news . Read the observer for the last 6 months.
But you are probably right that the FreedomNewspaper spreads a lot of rumours and gossip. Sometimes its even funny to me. Like the stories on madam Zinab, and the mother of the President.
My way to handle this is to read all newspapers and gambian sites. You mix them together and the result is probably close to the truth.

Jack, Who owns the Observer newspaper according to rumors? If you can answer the question, then you know why? That is not the only news we read from the observer. The journalists should take it up themselves to get educated. It is in their own intrest. But dont complain about the news if there is nothing to write about. If you have topics that should be given attention, I suggest you forward them to the paper. |

| Alhassan, I hope you are joking. It is all the journalists' fault? If they are nothing but a bunch of liars and i....s, then please tell me why The Point (look at the thread about Pap Saine) and (ex)Independent journalists are winning international awards, but never those of the Gambian Prawda. Oh, I know - it is all a conspiracy... |
