What is the Korieth? Is it a special festival?
I have been invited to attend it at Pirang. What should I expect? and should i go?
I have never stayed over night in the village. I am thinking about doing it this time. Does anyone have any advice for me?
I am a bit nervous about going to the toilet and washing!!! LOL!! Also the water and food!
I have eaten in the village before,but only for one meal. I have drunk some small amounts of well water and survived!
i want to accept the hospitality,but dont want to be ill for the rest of my holiday or worse.......
I think it is an important step for me to sleep in the village, especially if one day I am going to fulfill my ambition to teach in Kolior. I need to build my confidence of coping by doing small steps!
I am sorry if it sounds a bit pathetic to Gambians online. But I am a middle aged, middle class, white women who is travelling alone. Any advice would be seriously, deeply appreciated.
