No hard feelings. I just dont have political ambitions. I would not make a good one because i will not survive the redtape. I am too practical and easily get frustrated in a quagmire

Kondorong,
Jammeh had done no improvements in the Gambia.The only improvement is we are disappearing day in and day out.
Building schools with no good teachers is just like asking the dead to walk.You all know that during Jawara days even a secondary school dropout that day speaks better english than today grade 12 graduate.Is that a development?
Hospitals are dead squards.People lie on empty floor without beds and there are no drugs in some hospitals.Even qudin you have to but at a pharmacy.Do we call that development?
Best Airport.Yes but look interior, b4 it takes four hours to go to Basse,NOW 1day almost if lucky.Poverty has risen.If jawara pays 450 and a bag of rice was 100,Now you are paid 750 and a bag of rice is 650 which one would a family man prefer?
Electricity well I need not comment on this one we all know.

With refrence to your posting, I would also say that there has been some improvement in the Gambia. More freedom of the press.Many people cannot remember the banned People's Press of Campama that had Dixon Kolley as the editor in chief. We remember too Ba Tarawalley who was put in prison for critising FAFA(D.K.Jawara)and many other journalists. Why was the Kent Street vous formed? Where is TOINA today? It was not until resently you do not need to come to Banjul for things like , passport, highschools and hospitals. The fact that there are no teachers as you mentioned is not the fault of the government. The teachers resign or look for other jobs of intrest. The doctors resign to set up private hospitals so as to milk our poor of money. As you said about electicty has been unstable since during FAFA JAAMANO. The staff of the GUC sells the gasoline that should be in the machines to function. or is it the black cats? Many things that happened during that time have been improved in some way. I ghave been to the country and say some of the projects. What I can say right now is that it takes years to complete some of them whilst is should have taken months. The GUC staff themselves are curropted. There has been a lot of illigal connections especially in the new areas. Those who have can bribe miter readers so as to bill another miter. This is rutten.Nowadays you do not need to take your own chairs and desks to the classrum and many other improvements. They can do better than these only if they listen to critics. I for one is convinced that the Banjul Arch22 was meaningless for the simple facts that climbing on the Arch you can sometimes see naked people in the sourounding streets. Banjul needs good roads and a stable electricty for the buisness to prosper.
Lastly, the civil servants are still very curropted. The list paper transactions you do , guys rip you off. You have to pay for what government pay them for. The customs and excerice at the port should refrain from putting government revenue in their own pockets.
If The APRC can put an end to such practices, I promise to go back home , work, pay taxes and vote for them.
There is a lot left to be done. Ganbia should controll the selling of medecine to its citizens. There are many unqualified people selling drugs they do not know what the use for. They even sell expaired drugs.
I am just an observer and not a member of a political in the Gambia. I hope supporters of all political parties would read all my posting before replying, and more over no foul language.
