Interesting news that deposed President Amadou Toumani Toure to seek refuge in Gambia; from un-confirmed sources?

Translated post in french from Gambia-L refer;
quote:
"12 days after his overthrow :: ATT exfiltrated for Gambia? Source: Morning Information: Last Updated: 04.07.2012 (Author:)

After 10 days of hide and seek with the CNRDRE, the junta has committed, March 22, a coup against his regime ended, General ATT took refuge in the eccentric Gambian President Yaya DJAMME. Probably because he no longer felt safe at Samanko, on the road to Guinea Conakry, where he would cut off at first after the refusal of para Djicoroni camp to welcome not to expose the canons of the coup CNRDRE. More importantly, after the interview "surprise" that he gave to RFI to say he was not a prisoner of the military junta that overthrew him. A leak in a small COULIBALY rule attempts to exploit against our editor, Sambi Toure, who gives him act against the harsh reality."

Mali's president hands in resignation

BAMAKO, Mali (AP) - From one of the hiding places where he has been holed up since last month's coup, Mali's president penned a resignation letter and handed it to an emissary to deliver to the country's new leaders, while reporters looked on. The move paves the way for Mali to name a new interim president, the next step in the nation's return to democratic rule. President Amadou Toumani Toure was...

Mali junta leader doesn't want foreign forces
BAMAKO, Mali (AP) - The head of Mali's military junta made clear Monday that he would have a powerful say over how the country is run in the weeks ahead, and does not want foreign forces helping reclaim the country's north from rebels who declared independence. The new civilian President of Mali Diouncounda Traore has spoken. He said a peaceful route was the preferred option, but threatened all-out war if the separatists refused to agree to peace talks.

"We will not hesitate to wage a total and relentless war" unless the rebels left the cities they had occupied in the wake of the coup, Traore said, adding that he was prepared to negotiate with all groups apart from al-Qaeda.

How terribly sad.

He has got a valid point:

"Interim President Dioncounda Traore criticized the arrests, saying "that's not the sort of thing that should happen in a country where there is the rule of law."

The Junta's position:
"Late Tuesday, the junta responded that the ongoing police investigations would be handed over very soon so that judicial cases could be opened.
Among those arrested was the head of Mali's biggest political parties, who was considered a front-runner in the presidential election derailed by last month's coup."

I think that it is time to just wait a while and see what happens,personally I know nothing about the "front runner" mentioned above,or the other arrested politicians who are they what have they done in the past?
The interim president does seem to be a trustworthy and sensible man to deal with the present troubles of Mali.
