International finance is shambles. Not only that domestic economies are in trouble. The long hand of money launderers have taken a toll.

In Gambia traces of money laundering have a leading enterprise Kairaba supermarket named in. There is worry that Libanese business persons are into money laundering activities in Gambia. They are friedns of Gambian president Jammeh and praised the president for his operation no compromise.

Coverage of Gambia being named on money laundering is far and wide. Let any brave one deny this.

Over all these years, pages of Bantaba and other online sites have been filled with information linking Gambia or president Jammeh with drugs and money laundering. With so much spilling out now, is there one brave Jammeh backer to deny all that is coming out on this grave matter? Is this not enough for a government to dissolve?

Karamba,it's all about politics, who else is there who will be able to make Gambia into a thriving self sufficient nation ?
Who else would have sufficient influence on people who live and work in Gambia ?

Other countries who are very interested in Gambia for their own reasons, trade transport links or whatever with West Africa realise that Gambia is an ideal location for extending their influence or trade are content with the way things are.

Toubab102, are you suggesting that it is OK for anyone to abuse a piece of land belonging to others by trading on rugs, laundering money, or forms of illicit dealings? Better put, is it OK for dealers to exploit tiny poor nations?

Karamba,of course it's not, I am not suggesting that it is, what I am suggesting is that those on the outside of the country and SOME NON Gambians who come to do business are content with the way things are in Gambia."these people" see that it easier to deal with one person rather than many politicians and civil servants who take an age to make any decision at all and even longer to put the decision they have made into action,if action is ever taken!
The existing situation is obviously WRONG from a moral and common sense standpoint and should not be, but it is.
I am sorry that you failed to understand what I was trying to express in my previous post.

Karamba, Thanks,I only give what I think,I try to make my posts unambiguous,I do not expect others to take note of what I write, I am no expert on anything,I like simple clear things, no hidden agendas no smiles when they are not genuine,I am not into scoring any goals, I just comment, sometimes others will give their own opinions and suggestions in reply but those occasions are rare, maybe they do not have opinions, who knows.
