1. AND A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT THAT "The UDP Party Leader however did not dwell on the issue opposition parties coming together to contest the forthcoming November presidential election as was expected by some people, including opposition supporters and symphatisers."

2. DOES UDP LACK THE WILL, DETERMINATION, READINESS, LEADERSHIP SKILLS AND A PROPER SOUND STRATEGY TO TACTICALLY WOO OTHER OPPOSITION PARTIES "UNDER ONE UMBRELLA", ON A COALITION OR UNITED FRONT; IN ORDER TO BOOST THE CHANCES OF LAWYER OUSAINOU DARBOE

3. WE HAVE HEARD OF "PARTY-LED COALITION" BUT HOW FEASIBLE IS IT TO WORK FOR A COMMON GROUND, PARTNERSHIP AND SOLIDARITY UNDER OUR MULITI-PARTY SYSTEM AND THE GAMBIA CONSTITUTION; THROUGH "A GRAND COALITION", "INTER-PARTY" OR "MERGER OF POLITICAL PARTIES"

4. WHAT IS ON OFFER FOR OTHER OPPOSITION PARTIES UNDER "A UDP PARTY-LED COALITION"

5. CAN ANY MILITANT PLEASE DESCRIBE TO US THE "UDP PARTY-LED COALITION" STRATEGY, PLAN, FRAMEWORK AND MODALITIES ENVISAGED

6. DOES IT IMPLY THAT ALL OTHER OPPOSITION PARTIES WOULD LEAVE THEIR PARTY/POLITICAL PLATFORMS TO RALLY BEHIND UDP AND ONLY BANNER OF UDP RAISED OR PURSUE UDP PARTY MANIFESTO OUTRIGHT

7. WE ALSO HAD THE IMPRESSION THAT FROM 2006 TO 2009 UDP AND NRP WERE IN SOLID ALLIANCE AS UDP/NRP BUT LATELY 2010 TOWARDS 2011; WHAT WENT WRONG BETWEEN UDP/NRP ON THAT ALLIANCE OR WHY HAMAT BAH NRP PART COMPANY WITH UDP AND CONTESTING PRESIDENCY

8. LATEST REPORT PDOIS ON THE UNITED FRONT

1. THE POINT NEWS My trip to USA was to meet party supporters - Shyngle Nyassi

2. FREEDOM ON-LINE NEWS Breaking News: Gambia: NYASS ACCUSES THE APRC OF TRYING TO BUY UDP SUPPORTERS - UDP TO WIN NOVEMBER ELECTIONS—NYASSI

"Propagandist of using Council’s funds to lobby support for the “DEAD APRC” which according to Mr. Nyassi is awaiting for a “decent burial” come November of this year."

"Mr. Nyassi also rubbishes Mr. Colley’s claims that Mr. Jammeh will win the November polls. He said the UDP will preside over the affairs of the nation after the November elections. He warns that a rude awakening awaits Mr. Colley, and his boss Yahya Jammeh. He said Gambians are determined to take their country back from this murderous regime, which is reputed to be violating its citizens rights, and liberties with impunity."

"While assuring Gambians in the run-up to the polls that victory will be at the side of the UDP, Nyassi said the mass defections of many UDP supporters shown on TV are “political propaganda” and are not the reality."The Point News

THE POINT NEWS HEADLINES NRP will deliver surprises in November polls - Hamat Bah

HIGHLIGHTS QUOTED BELOW;

"Leader of the opposition National Reconciliation Party (NRP), Hamat Bah, has assured Gambians, especially his party militants that come the 24th November presidential election, his party will deliver surprises."

""Removing an incumbent is not a one day process. Look at all the governments in Africa that were changed through the ballot box. The opposition did not wake up one day and remove the incumbent. It took them time to draw new strategies. It is a process that you must continue; you have to go through the democratic process," he opined."

On the issue of forming a formidable alliance ahead of the polls, the NRP leader repeated his earlier position that he is not hoping for a formidable alliance.

"I am not in for an alliance," he stressed.

He made it clear that he will never join any opposition alliance, unless he is joined by others, saying that there are lots of reasons why he is not going in for an alliance, which he would not share with the public."

Kobo,there is no mistake in that quote of:

"that there are lots of reasons why he is not going in for an alliance, which he would not share with the public."

How on earth can that make sense if the public,in other words the electorate are not told ?

Am I missing something here or was the politician misquoted?

"Simple is good" & I strongly dislike politics. You cannot defend the indefensible.

TOUBAB 1020 IN ADDITION TO "MISSING SOMETHING" THERE ARE "MIXED MESSAGES", "INCONSISTENCIES" AND "CONTRADICTIONS" COMING OUT TOWARDS D-DAY

FROM THIS;

Freedom News

"While assuring Gambians in the run-up to the polls that victory will be at the side of the UDP, Nyassi said the mass defections of many UDP supporters shown on TV are “political propaganda” and are not the reality."The Point News

TO THAT;

"When asked on whether the opposition parties will come together, Nyassi was careful in expressing his political views. He said him and his party supports opposition unity. He indicated to this reporter that current developments on talks are progressive. This reporter reminded him about an article written months back by Karamba Touray where Karamba questioned whether talks among the Gambian Opposition Parties were being progressive, for the simple fact that things seems to be rotating around the same circle. Nyassi in his own words said, "In fact without a united front, we cannot remove Jammeh. It is difficult on a simple majority. I see no reason why we won't come together. We've learnt a lot of mistakes. I am convinced that we will come together.""GAINAKO NEWS
