The dictator of self-development Yahya Jammeh bought a $3.5million home in America, to appease his wife last year. The poor soldier who was broke half his live can now afford to squander Gambian tax money for his evil needs. What a sorry affairs for Gambians.

America has to start asking why Jammeh spends Dollar notes in Gambia and now filtering that through the American financial system. One Hundred Million Dalasi is real small money compared to Jammeh total loot since he robbed the seat of power on 22 July 1994.

Oh, Oh, Santanfara, hold it there before crooked fingers of accusation begin pointing at that Jammeh opponents are jealous of his wealth.

This is cold blooded cruelty.

Karamba, it seems once a thief always will be one. Since Jammeh commence stealing with his former army pals. The Gambia is in a sorry state.

Santanfara, this is no small thieving. This is serious economic crime against the Gambian nation. The question is can Jammeh account for all the money involved. Not from his Dalasi Salary as president of Gambia.

Where is the link? Copy of the evidence?

diaspora! Too many Chiefs and Very Few Indians.

Halifa Salah: PDOIS is however realistic. It is fully aware that the Gambian voters are yet to reach a level of political consciousness that they rely on to vote on the basis of Principles, policies and programmes and practices.

Turk, I know you have some short-sighted issues, but to say you havent seent the link in the first posting is incredible.
Also browse the www.senegambianews.com and find the complete phot of the house, inside rooms etc.
The focus is now Kanilai. A village with huts, now standing tall with Gambian tax payers money. This is the clear thieving we are exposing. The Islamic Shiek should at least know the crimes of stealing from the poor people of the Gambia. Or may be his teachers have forgotten to brief him on that.

I did not comment anything about the ethical part of the news, so there is no need for moral argument for this.

You got it wrong. I think not me, actually, you have a short sighted evaluation about this. I read the link and the newspaper does not have a i.e. 'image of the document' as link? I mean they must have some document. How do they know....It says

quote:
After an exhaustive investigation, it is verified

How did they do investigations, what are their findings? You know better than that if such claim is for sure, at least they should be able to produce some document. Right? I mean posting pictures as evidence does not suffice. Does it? I could have taken any house picture and claims that is santa's house.

Santanfara, Jammeh is not an ordinary thief. The bandit is using guns to scare off Gambians and using the state machinery to engage in illicit financial dealings. America is seriously provoked on this occasion. Having an African president using American Dollars in Africa and going further using 3 million plus Dollars to buy a home in DC. That is an issue for top investigators.

Jammeh's financial affairs is no small matter resting on Gambians alone. Money laundering is an international crime. We will get to the bottom of things.

I know for sure the thief would try every means to find refuge somewhere. But Americ would extradite him no doubt about that. Let him try somewhere else!

One thing clear, criminals of higher nature are generally good at destroying evidence. They also mask up source of evidence. The said property registered in the name "J Family" is seriously dubious.

Does Mr Jammeh think he is not exposed already?

Interesting read. Zillow shows that the property was bought in Sept. 2010. A copy of the deed should be easily accessible at the Montgomery County Assessor's office since it is public information. I'll try to search and post a copy of the property's title here or if it is not available online a friend of mine lives in Montgomery County by I'll ask him to pick it up at the Assessor's office. BTW, $35,795 in annual property tax... that is a lot of money!

You gotta admit, it is a slick neighborhood.

Cute, I'll admit!
Is this the same mansion the "first lady" rumoured purchased in the Washington area, or an oppulent addition?

I got this link from a friend today.
If it is true, which I presume it is, now I've seen it on here, it is disgusting.
How does that man sleep at night?

I am desperate for ordinary Gambian people! Change is needed. But who is there that could guide Gambia to democracy? One tyrant replaced with another doesn't achieve much.

You are really one shallow man. Why should I write and esquire about that? Providing source is the basic standards of journalism with ethics. Obviously you would not understand about ethic!!! What I have known is that they revealed a big news but they don't provide any evidence, how they found this, what they found about it, any document, any reference to any authority. They claim investigation, well, investigation on what. I mean empty people like you would take any news whether it is credible or not. I will believe this when I actually see some reference to support the allegation.

Sorry but, I don't get the purpose of the question whether I know prince or not.... What are you trying to say?
