"Speaking at the rally, Aji Yam Secka said come November 24th the Gambia will have a new President which will be Lawyer Ousainou Darboe, describing him (Ousainou) as a Gambian who is born and will die in Gambia.

He (Darboe) advised Gambians to come in their large numbers and vote against the APRC so that Gambians can have a fresh start.

Kobo,
it is true the dictator is a tribalist and he thinks he can fool us and thus bring division amongst Gambians by playing the ethnic card. This man is a damn liar during the Jawara era, all two Foni constituencies had always had opposition candidates never had Foni got a no oppose for PPP. Infact his own brother once stood for PDOIS and His own mother was Dembo Bojang's bakau women's jola yai compin.
This ***** thinks he can continue fooling Gambians.

Here is my take on this issue;

•Ebriama Janko Sanyang won a parliamentary seat in Foni under NCP ticket.

•The guy who masterminded the 1981 abortive coup, Kukoi Samba Sanyang, also comes from foni..

•Sir Dawda Jawara, the former president, is a mandinka likewise Ousainu Darboe's father, Hon. Numukunda Darboe. But Numukunda did not follow Jawara. He followed PS Njie who is a wollof.

•When Ousainu finished primary school in Bansang, his father sent him to Banjul to live with PS Njie while attending High School.

•Ousainu married two wives who are all none-mandinkas and have children whose uncles, ants and some of their cousins are none-mandinkas.

.Both wollof and mandinka are well spoken in Ousainu's two homes.

Is this the type of guy one would call a tribalist? I think Jammeh is better off telling us how far he has gone with his jolanisation of The Gambian Civil and Public Services and then we will know him and Ousainu Darboe who is a tribalist.

Those who live in glass house don’t throw stones.

Thanks

I do not oppose unity but I oppose dumb union.

Based on this silly logic, Yahya is not a tribalist either.

Yahya Jammeh, after High School, he joined Gambian Military.
Early 90s, he joing Military Academy in Alabama with many classmates from tribe of American and Mohican.
His first girlfriend in Maria she belonged to Mexico tribe.
His first wife was from tribe mixed of Morocco and Guinea tribe. As Jammeh likes to socialize with other tribes rather than Jola.
His second wife was Mandinka.
Jammeh uncles, cousins are Morrocons, Guinean, Jola, Mandinkas.

diaspora! Too many Chiefs and Very Few Indians.

Halifa Salah: PDOIS is however realistic. It is fully aware that the Gambian voters are yet to reach a level of political consciousness that they rely on to vote on the basis of Principles, policies and programmes and practices.

You know what some of you guys love to joke even when there is nothing to joke about.
Yahya Jufuruntu is calling Mandinkas tribalist I don't know why Yahya's own Mother never supported Jawara. She was Dembo Bojang By Force's yai compin in Bakau under NCP.
Yahya's late brother Lebarge was PDOIS's candidate against PPP.
His so called uncle Hendry M Jammeh was an opposition Candidate against PPP.
His uncle Jaijaw Jammeh was against Alkali James Gaye and only supported him when Kukoi had his coup and failed and he thought he might be arrested.
Yahya as well used to say wait until the time comes and these thiefs would pay for their crimes.
Now I don't know what he is talking about.
His best friend Janko F Sanyang was NCP'S MP for foni berfet. They used to go to Bassangab together I remember Yahya grumbling that non Jolas only come to Foni during Bassangab just to have their girls free.
He cannot have a girl friend only on Bassangab day when all women are free. ha ha ha ha ha I remember those day when Foni was foni.
Let Yahya Shut his stinking mouth.
I know him more than all of you talking about him today as if you were with him.
