quote: How can Gambians at home and those in the Diaspora salvage the 2011 presidential election? If you cannot vote; vote with your wallet, and threaten to withhold the monthly “fish-money.” Demand that relatives vote and vote for the candidate that stands the best chance of winning.
This is a joke. Right? |
diaspora! Too many Chiefs and Very Few Indians.
Halifa Salah: PDOIS is however realistic. It is fully aware that the Gambian voters are yet to reach a level of political consciousness that they rely on to vote on the basis of Principles, policies and programmes and practices. |

Turk,I think this is a genuinely held view, BUT THE CONSEQUENCES have not been thought through,is taking fish money, in other words food from the mouths of the families of the average Gambian the way to achieve anything ? will it make a difference to political thinking ? of course not, those with power, and those who want power have the money, so no leverage there, just increased suffering. |

One man one vote. The only true way of democracy I belief if the likes of Buuke has his way he might vote 17times.This is exactly what Yahya Jammeh does in the Gambia and if sheeps in wolve clothings are exposed then we would have a better Gambia for us all. |
