Now decided where to go in South America for next Winters holiday. So going to the holiday resort of Cancun in Mexico. Why Mexico lots to see and do. The history of the Mayan and Aztecs cultures with the temples and monuments. Also as its close to the Californian border where I shall be travelling the the world heritage drive of the pacific coast highway from San Diego to San Francisco. As I will not be going back to Gambia will finish of with a few weeks in Hawaii to chill out Waikiki Beach looks appealing

Enjoy your travels Snuggles.

Snuggles have you visited India? Any places you would recommend to visit?

I am going to be there in October/November for my daughters Wedding.

Hi Bev
I havnt been to India yet. But as I allways plan well ahead and India for the following year is defenatly on he cards.
I know we all have diffferent opinions and requrirements.
But what I do is book my own flights search the net for accommodation and never book tours from england I wait till I get to me dstination and book it through a local operator much cheaper than booking it in the UK. Or book it befor I go
So far my thoughts on India are. As im not a big city guy I stay away from the tourist traps or only stay for a few to see what you gota see
So for me Deli Mumbia and Goe'er are not for me long stay.
Im thinking of going down south and staying at Karla, local culture and boats trips to the many islands.
Again once there you can book a 2 or 3 weeks escorted tour or book as previosely said with a local tour operator befor you go.
One tour Im thinking of is a train journey through Rajistan im told the most beautiful part of India with spectaculay palaces and monuments. The train im told is like the Orient expres and for tourists only. Hope this is food for thought. I am sure you will have a more interesting time than Gambia. My enquiries continue

2 off my most favorite citys San Deago and San Francisco
When I went frisco befor I stayed at the MARK Twain hotel just above the famouse pier 39 and close to china town and all the tourist attractions. But dont just stay in the city go across the Golden Gate Bridge to the other side of the bay and explore realy beautiful
