Wednesday, December 29, 2010 The Indian high commissioner to The Gambia, His Excellency N. Parthasarathi has given President Jammeh a tap on the back for the fast-paced development taking place in the country.
The Indian chief diplomat to The Gambia, who is based in Dakar, Senegal, was speaking to reporters at State House Tuesday afternoon shortly after a closed-door meeting with the president at State House. He said: "Whenever I come here I do realise that there are so much of developments taking place."
Parthasarathi, who was accompanied to the seat of the presidency by the honorary consul general of India based in Banjul, Ram Mohan, also told reporters that his meeting with the president was very interactive. He explained that it is his duty as the Indian high commissioner to The Gambia to visit the country from time to time so as to strengthen the bilateral relations existing between Banjul and New Delhi.
"It is like homecoming for me to The Gambia because anytime I come here, I am always inspired by what the leader [President Jammeh] tells me due to his vision, his practical knowledge and his economic thinking in the long-term for the benefit of the common man," he said, adding that such [wisdom] is something worthy to be emulated by other people.
High Commissioner Parthasarathi said that India being one of the largest countries in the world with more than a billion people, his government would like to share with others whatever they have knowledge-wise and also in financing. To this end, he hinted that they would like to take up projects, as well as take students from here through scholarships to study in various universities in India.
"We are increasing the number of scholarship and cooperation in various fields," he disclosed, adding that these were among the issues discussed with the Gambian leader. He also pointed out that Indians are involved in the National Assembly Complex Project, which is under construction, and the Rural Electrification Project, which he said "is going to start", among other things. He posited that these projects are going to be helpful to Gambians. Author: by Hatab Fadera Source: http://observer.gm/africa/gambia/article/indian-diplomat-impressed-with-president-jammeh

No amount of publicity will erase the barbaric acts of human rights violations against citizens in the Gambia.
Just in case you don't know these kinds of statements are normal diplomatic communications no matter who is in office...
Since you have taken up the responsibility of spreading APRC propagranda here like Fankung you are then officially branded as a sympathiser with interest on this regime....
Shame on those who think they can oppress citizens and compensate it by empty diplomatic squables and building so called mosques... They are hypocrites in Islam.... |

Kitab some are yapping about sacred cows and lack of funds others are making me the subject of discussion. Please tell chinese shoes this is not a chinese movie, no kung-fu here, this is strictly an Indian movie, he is not Amintab Bachan, he is most likely PREM CHOPRA or GEEHAY anyways. Add Fankung Fankung to the Brothers who can 't stand chinese movies I should assume. I don't know how many times I made it clear to your position seeking, manipulative slimy attitude that if I want a job I can apply for it and rest assured OVER QUALIFIED for anyways. I have workers and employees so think again brother man I am an employer the Ajino Motto of your LIFE. quote: Originally posted by Kitabul Arerr
