Its twenty painful years
As we count they seem to go on for forever
The kids born after seem to see
The goings on as normal
After all that's what they know
Others as some of us though saw different
WE did see the history being made
Feeling the mighty changes in our lives for real
This counts I hope
The task seems to be an effort
To explain to these youngsters
That the grass has been greener than they see now
Yet that mountain of deceit is a real stumbling block
For it is here and showing fake colors
Only those who dare to steer closer to it
Feel its ugly sides
More over it rumbles constantly
Spewing lava that threatens to blemish or obliterate
All that stand in it's way
This weakens the foe
Twenty years of pain is insane
Yet we have endured but not in silence
Throwing punches where the defense
Shows a weakness
Them being weak as the challenge is immense
But we chop at it bit by bit
Thus weakening the colossus
Hoping to one day bring it to kneeling fall
Our resolve never faltering on this quest
To end this pain
