I suppose someone has to give money to Gamtel as they have had to pay in the first place,it would appear to me from the somewhat wordy and evasive misty way that Mr. Lamin Camara, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Technical) at Ministry of Information and Communication Infrastructure (MOICI)made the statement that all is not well and "problems" would have to be resolved,no indication as to the nature of the "problems" were mentioned, and what on earth is a "temporal solution" ?
"Yes, we are stakeholders to the project but I cannot talk to you. If I should speak to you, then the next minute the members of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) may come and arrest me",
" He mentioned the need to get relevant licenses to operate the international services which he said is ongoing. He further mentioned resolving the problem with a temporal solution.
"We are hopeful before the end of this month people will start to enjoy the project", he disclosed."

Not knowing a great deal about the technical details of " bandwith" and associated computer things does this mean that the average user is able to have a usable internet browsing experience in Gambia now in March 2014? Thanks to ACE running correctly as indicated in the speech by The deputy permanent secretary at the Ministry of Information and Communication Infrastructure (MOICI) Lamin Camara. Bantaba in cyberspace is full of experts on everything MAYBE they could tell me,? There again maybe not!

An interesting article from Foroyaa and repairs being carried out, maybe these repairs may make internet users with their own machines have an improved service as was initially promised when discussions about the cable were going on in the past.

Has the internet connectivity promised by the ACE project to enable access to all the available features and content of one of the greatest undoubted inventions of the 20th Century had any beneficial effects for the people of the Gambia and people in the world outside Gambia to understand different cultural ways,or has the project been a total damp squib of benefit to a privileged few ?
No postings, never mind, maybe readers of Bantaba in Cyberspage will just think,if that is the case then I am happy with that.
