KOMBO EAST VOTERS HAVE DECIDED
By Lamin Fatty, Yaya Dampha and Sarjo Camara Singateh
The constituents in the Kombo East have decided to retain the parliamentary seat for the APRC candidate. The counting of the voters took place at the Bafrow Centre in Mandinaba.
Speaking to reporters shortly after the declaration of the results, Mr. Nfansu B. Konteh, alias 'Jung,' said that his first priority will be his President's priority. He stated that the Kombo East Constituency is for him as far as the APRC government is concerned. He expressed his gratitude to the electorates the Kombo East constituency for voting him into the office of National Assembly.
Mr. Momodou Lamin Touray, alias Charlie, of NADD, said that all what he did was to present his programmes before the voters of Kombo East to be able to win their Heart and minds; that it is left to the people to finally decide their destiny. He expressed gratitude to the people who voted fro him. Declaring the results, the returning officer of the Kombo East by-election, Mrs. Sarah – Grey Johnson declared the results follow:
"I, Sarah Grey – Johnson, here by declare that Mr. Nfansu Jung Konteh has been duely elected as the National Assembly Member for the Kombo East Constituency." The APRC polled 3365 votes NADD 1109 votes and the UDP polled 2814 votes.
However during the voting process, our reporters were on the ground, monitoring the whole process of the election. There were reports of a number of abnorminatories expressed by some members of the opposition that National Assembly Members like Majanko Samusa and Adama Cham present at various polling stations like Faraba Banta and Pirang. Also the presence of some plain clothes officers at Faraba Banta and Pirang polling stations was reported by opposition supporters but they identified themselves as National Intelligence Agents (NIA). However the two opposition candidates complain to the Presiding officer representing the IEC, they complain with the decision of the Presiding officer and finally left the polling stations.

Hi fellas, Any way actions speaks louder than voice,I have said over and over that the opposition needs to come together as shown by the people of kombo E ast.Vast majority of the kombo East people have shown the APRC government that the country is not governed as they wished. Thus putting the opposition voteds together, they have overwelmingly disapproved the government by 558 votes. The tow opposition candidates together pulled 3923 votes to the APRC's 3265 thus a margin of the above 558 votes. This has shown that Jung would represent the minority in parliment for Kombo north. But only the fool will not see this(the opposition. We are the problem and the blame must be taken by both of us. Sorry I was too sad to thus my absence. Sitasungo. |

| just like kids at a charity where food is given by a benefactor it comes about that some kids prefer an orderly partaking of the meal but others dont they would rather scramble for the food and really enjoy this. I characterised the recent fallout within the opposition to the latter scenario. ''Njeero'' they did and none of them came out winners. Its a shame that they were not able to sort out their differences but became chorlish / childish and in the end gave victory to tyranny.Well folks we have a problem and it needs to be solved the cat must be belled but if we keep having these disorganised moves as manifested by the oppostion we shall fail.If that happens we dont need stupid post mortems of their actions .action is what is needed okkkkkkayy |
