Gambia has sent out a message of Zero tolerance to Paedophiles about time too! The victim was ten years old when she was abducted and raped. She had to wait 8 years to see justice served living with the nightmare and stigma of her ordeal. The Judge sent out a firm message to Paedophiles in Gambia.
Snippet: "The presiding Judge, while delivering judgment pointed out that the offence was committed in August 2002, but unfortunately he inherited the case at the judgment stage, noting that he never had any opportunity to hear or see any of the witnesses. The presiding Judge then expressed shock, saying it was incomprehensible to imagine how an offence of such magnitude had been handled in the way it was done for so long a period."
This maybe one of the cases that Lawyer Martin was talking about when he said:
