SG Njogu Bah’s Driver Missing for One Month! Ebrima Kolley’s Wife Said She Has No Access to Her Husband since Incarcerated at Mille Two Prison

“It is hard to bear it. We don’t know what he has done that should warrant his [alleged] arrest and continuous detention at the state Central Prison Mille Two. We pray that with time God-the Almighty will bail him out one day. We are pleading to the state actors to forgive him to reunite with us,” Said Mariama Faburay, the wife of an allegedly detained driver to the Secretary General (SG) NjoguBah.
Mrs.Faburay spoke to this paper in a sad voice and has confirmed that her husband (Ebrima Kolley) was the personal driver to The Gambia’s Secretary General Njogu Bah until his alleged arrest and subsequent detention at the State Central Prison Mille Two in the capital, Banjul.
Ebrima Kolley, 45, also the father of two was said to have been arrested on Thursday 15th July 2010 at his place of work after his car was involved in an accident while accompanying the President entourage during the just recently concluded dialogue with the people tour spearheaded by President Jammeh.
Family sources said after the accident both the SG Njogu Bah and Ebrima Kolley were taken to Bansang Hospital Management Board where X-Ray and other medical check-up were conducted. And Kolley’s medical report revealed that he was diagnosed with trauma and was given a prescription of some medicines to buy from the pharmacy shortly few minutes after accident which happened on Wednesday 14th July 2010.

“Ebrima left the compound on Monday for the Presidential tour and on Wednesday they had an accident. On that faithful Wednesday, I called him to enquire his health condition and said he was okay just taken to Bansang Hospital for medical check-up,” explained Mariama Faburay as she almost hissed.
She explained that her husband arrived home on that faithful day Wednesday at around 9:00pm in the night and fine out from him what had happened to him during the accident: “I was hit by the driving handle on my chest but I have done X-Ray and other medical check-up, its now getting better,”Kolley told the wife upon his returned from Basse.
Mrs.Faburay recalled that her husband left for work on Thursday 15th July 2010 and never returned home and that efforts were made to call his mobile phone but was switched-off they have called on his phone but was switched-off. She said they have made several attempts to visit him at Mille Two central prison but were told by prison guards that he (Kolley) is not allowed to visitors.
She said the family doesn’t know their loved one was detained after surviving from the danger of car accident. This she said has plunged the entire family in agony and anxiety in the face of the Holy month of Ramadan. Going further she said the kids often asked her about the whereabouts of their father but has now stop after knowing that he detained at Mille Two.
